Just watched some tape on Bouchard.

I don't think I viewed a single offensive play where he actually takes a stride with the puck on his stick, guy is the antithesis of mobile

Not sure he fits the mold of a modern (or future) top-end d-man. Really hope we take a pass on this guy.

Watched some of his shifts last night. I agree that he almost seems unwilling to take quick strides sometimes, like you said it could just be to conserve energy. On the bright side the puck is usually in the opponents zone when he’s out there and he seems to love to throw pucks at the net. I did notice that he’s not the best defensively against the rush and does seem passive in his own zone at times.

Heading to the Leaf thread, I miss Dannyboy already

Watched some of his shifts last night. I agree that he almost seems unwilling to take quick strides sometimes, like you said it could just be to conserve energy. On the bright side the puck is usually in the opponents zone when he’s out there and he seems to love to throw pucks at the net. I did notice that he’s not the best defensively against the rush and does seem passive in his own zone at times.

London's coach Tim Hunter or whoever it is coaches like that.

I remember when he had Marner and Tkachuk, they didn't have really have a 2nd PP unit, as the first unit would stay out the entire time.

They really roasted him when they stayed out for like 3 minutes on double minor.

Ive noticed that in any of his 15 goals. He never makes a defender "miss" once. Its odd how open he is. Wont get that in the NHL.

I have only seen highlights of him play but he always goes right to the net.

I also like his commitment , he said he will train very hard this summer.
