It was a 2 on 2 from the blue line...and phil looked better defending it than letang...he totally lost his man on a 2 on freaking 2. - taleisyreXIII
I'm not absolving Letang, but Murray needs to stop that. He bobbled an easy save. And Phil had the crap turnover at the blue line that started it all. |

That’s on MM. Letang should’ve taken the man (broken record) but Murr has to cover that. - Thorny87
I know, stupid for MM to think Letang would be resposible and do his job there. |

When you blame the goalie on a busted play, you're pretty much absolving him. |

If letang boxes out then filp doesn't get two full wacks immediately after the first save. Plenty of blame...letang then mur then phil. |

No Murr doesn’t get absolved from that because Letang had a bad play. There were three guys almost equally at fault there and just blaming Letang is dumb. |

The Pens power play has kept the Flyers in the game. |

Phil had his guy and mur made two saves on three shots within 1second...letang did NOTHING.
Edit...he angrily shot the puck down the ice after the goal. |

There is only one shot if Murr corrals the puck like he’s supposed to. There’s no shot at all if Letang takes his guy like he’s supposed to. There’s no scoring chance at all if Phil doesn’t have a boneheaded turnover. Like I said, three guys at fault. |

Any way to see what MM win/loss record is in the playoffs when he lets in the first goal?
In the 2 games this year after he gets scored on first, he seems to fight the puck the rest of the game. |

Not that the NHL wouldn't love to extend any series as much as possible. Just saying. $$$ |

Seeing as how he's the defenseman there, and i use that term losely when it comes to him, I agree. |

It was played badly by Murray. Letang also played it like a vagina. Kessel needed to get it deep instead of throwing a lateral pass at the blue line.

Also the point is....this has followed letang all year...this is not a one off situation. |

All year? More like all career. He's a skating sieve. |

Before he neck injury, he played physical and was a much better defender. |
