I doubt it but I don't know how Torts is viewed over there. Torts has a quicker shelf life than most coaches. - mdw7413

He hasn't won one has he?
Think Vegas got too much rest and falls flat on their face next round? |

I want Washington to win. (frank) Vegas and their ridiculously good first year expansion team.
I would like Washington vs. San Jose in the finals. |

Oh (frank) that. I don't need him benching Chytil or Andersson after they make a mistake. |

I wouldn't mind seeing Ovie win. First choice is Vegas though. Love seeing a complete underdog win. Granted they had a draft that was set up to make them a bit better than other expansion teams, but I think that was a good thing. |

Oh, don't misunderstand. I do NOT want him back but I miss having a coach that showed some emotion and didn't chew gum the whole time. |

I wouldn't hate it but how good they are is very frustrating when you have a poop team that you root for. |

I don't think Crosby is losing 4 games in a series
so Pitt will be there to make NBC happy |

Jan, it's hard to understand why some are against bringing back Grabner. I based that earlier comment on both, his now likely reduced overall cost, as you had also reiterated here, in addition to how at least we both can see the Rangers need for him in specialty roles. He would be ideal as a 3rd line winger and penalty killer, and as one you would want out there to close a 1 goal lead out in the game's final minute.
If he were not re-signed if available and interested in returning here, where his contributions were well worth his dollar value, those who would agree with that decision, will only complain once the new season begins. That's when they will notice in key, a gaping hole in key on the penalty kill, and equally so with his missing speed, as was the case for about the last 1/4 of the 2017/18 season. - RangerSaver
The questions I will pose to you is what I have asked others about resigning Grabner:
What direction is the team and organization going?
Is Grabner NEEDED to push the team in that direction?
Is he part of the long term solution or just a guy people want because he can be had cheap again with the hopes he gets his swagger back?
If you sign Grabner does he take the spot (and a year or two of experience) away from a younger player who IS part of the long term plans of the organization?
Lastly if you tell me the hope is that he does get the swagger back and then you flip him again for another prospect and pick, then I'm ok with you thinking, but I don't think you get that lucky twice in a row, plus teams will look at the Devils trade for him and won't want to repeat history.

I can't stand either one of them but I'd like Ovechkin to beat Crosby for once |
