The Giroux check I still dont think he hit Hags in the head. Hit him right in the chest and his face came down into Giroux's shoulder. The Letang one it was a trip with a Couts dive. Ref could of either took them both off or just let them play. - mdw7413
With the puck gone it was late on Hags. We differ in opinion about point of contact. Giroux turned braced & hit him hard when Hags just turned well after passing. Elbow by his side that lifted as Hags did. Also left both skates off the ice hitting?? You're allowed to do that?

Giroux is a cheap arse player that goes down if a soft light breeze passes but will take full advantage of players in positions he feels he can hurt them. |

Letang was playing the puck and hit the puck first...only reason I could see that not being a penalty. It was a trip no doubt and the speed of Coots falling made it look really bad...but Letang did hit the puck first. - MattStrat
It wouldn't have made a difference in the game, so whatever, but...
the NHL changed the tripping rule in recent years so that making contact with the puck first doesn't matter anymore. If you take the man down it's supposed to be tripping, regardless of if or when you hit the puck. |

Just stop.
Hags made the pass and got hit, it was a bang bang play. Shame on Hags for NOT expecting to get hit and letting his guard down. If Hagelin didn't get hurt and popped back up nobody would be talking about it. Its called taking a hit to make a play. This is hockey |

If I was giroux I would’ve been scared for my life, did you see the look in Kessel’s eyes? He looked at giroux like he was a big fat juicy cheeseburger ready to devour. Gross |

Five NHL teams have been in contact with defencemen Vyacheslav Voynov’s agent according to reports out of Russia.
They are the Florida Panthers, Winnipeg Jets, New York Islanders, New York Rangers and the Montreal Canadiens. |

He would still have to be reinstated by the NHL and LA may hold his rights. Even so, given the circumstances for his suspension, just say no. |

Good link with the various embedded videos for the questionable hits yesterday, save for the Schultz one on Couturier.

I tried it once for fun and, to my surprise, it did not make the hot dog taste any better or worse. |
