Give me Rosen - sbroads24
He just has franchise quarterback written on him
I’m going to be quite upset if we don’t end up with him now |

I'm all for trading with Montreal for their first round pick. I also think their is a Slight chance that Zadina could fall to 4 depending on who picks 3rd and if they feel a D or Brady are better suited for them then Zadina. Brady or Zadina at 4 if we lose out wouldn't be the worst thing. Most may not agree but Brady did jump Zadina in the final NA Prospect Rankings going from 3 to 2. Also, if we can get Montreal's pick I would avoid Bouchard. He may be able to put up points but he also has below average skating, which we already have enough of on our Defense. |

They are always attrocious. It's stream of consciousness.
I was hoping we could trade Antipin's rights, but I won't be mad if he just goes home. He was supposed to be an offensive defenseman and he had none of that - jcragcrumple
That's not really true. His P/60 was actually 0.88, where the league average is 0.95 and the Sabres average is 0.65. I know he didn't score goals. His shot's not that great. But to say he was inept is false. |

So, a little fun here...
IF you had to chose between the following, which one would you take...
Bills trade-up to 5 and they get the QB of your choice between the 6 (Allen, Darnold, Mayfield, Rosen, Jackson, Rudolf). The cost is their; 2 - 1sts, 1st 2nd, 1st 3rd and 2019 2nd and 3rd.
-or-
Sabres win the Draft Lottery on Saturday.
Tell us which one and why. - IonSabres
Without the guarantee that the QB becomes the long term solution, then I choose Dahlin. |

He had zero goals in 47 games. We need goals from defensemen |

Sabres signing Olofsson to a 2-year deal is some good news. Hopefully Asplund is next. |

Anyone else find it interesting that Wahlstrom has this Sudden burst in production that coincides directly with him playing with Jack Hughes? Maybe it's not all Wahlstrom, Just a thought - Sabrehagan
He's just trying hard cause the draft is close. Once he gets drafted, he'll just coast through life. |

This is a funny article to read about who deserves and doesn't deserve to win the draft lottery and it lists multiple different scenarios. The article lists several different Rankings for who wins the lottery. It's pretty good, talks about how all our worst nightmares could come to fruition as well.

Very true. But the way you framed your statement wasn't very fair. |

No doubt in my mind. Rochester's gonna have a nice group of actual NHL prospects next year. |

How so? I said he was supposed to be an offensive defenseman, and he wasn't. He didn't score any goals. He got his shot and it didn't work out. |

I still say the goal should be to trade Ryan O’Reilly to Montreal and get their picK
Back up plan if we don’t win the lottery
Draft your winger , defenseman - gerbe75pts
I would trade O’Reilly and Sam to get top 10 picks this year. a mini rebuild with jack, Casey, Risto and 3 top 10 picks. Have an extremely young core, cost controlled. This top 10 reminds me of Risto draft, studs everywhere. |

I think it’s gonna be hard to trade up if these other teams want QBs. Why would they trade out of those spots. They will pick the QB themselves. Nothing Buffalo can do.
I’ll be disappointed but I’ll only think it’s a fail if someone leap frogs us to take a QB. |

I’m all for trading both but I think they’re just gonna trade 1 ( sam or ror) but I like your idea of building a new core this one is just not going to cut it |

I was gonna say that but didn’t have the cohones to deal with the potential backlash from all the ROR and Sam supporters on this board. |

I agree I will be extremely upset But Like you said there’s nothing you could do if the team ahead of you wants to draft a quarterback
But If a team somehow jumps us I will be furious because we have the most draft capital no team can match that |

I like Sam and O’Reilly more then most, but Sam will want a contract. We get two younger (hopefully studs) for 12 million less then Sam and Ryan. We prob have one more bad year next year but wow, with 2 1sts next year (one being high) we have an extremely young core who will be oozing with talent and tons of cap space (bogo and Moulson will be gone) |

Well, maybe he'll get a contract, who knows. Once he signs it, he'll be on a beach partying with Kane. By year three, he'll start the year 25 pounds overweight, casually showing up only on paper. In the last two months, he'll go bananas and score 40 goals in 20 games. He'll get a sorta big contract, then he'll go back to the beach for 5 years with Kane. |

At the end of the day it all comes down to hitting on the draft picks. But if that scenario ever came to fruition we would be a scary good hockey club once the lockout is done (assuming there is one). |
