Its really hard to root for the Caps, but I want the Pens gone. - JimmyP
Yeah from your guys perspective I definitely get it.
I'm an Ovie fan and wouldn't mind seeing him get a cup. Really the only team I'm rooting against these playoffs is the Pens. |

Doug Weight will be your new GM. If Snow is kicked upstairs, of course. Book it! - Isleshockeyman
No chance. Ledecky does not have the stones to have another press conference and announce Weight as GM. |

Why not? - mdw7413
Meh, (frank) everyone else in the Metro.
I don't know why, given my utter hatred for the Red Sox and Patriots, but I really like the Bruins. Probably just because Bergeron is one of the most unbelievably complete players to ever play the game, but I just like their team in general which is impressive given the fact that Brad Marchand is an actual soiled diaper that congealed into a human-like creature.
At the end of the day, I'll be rooting for the winner of NSH/WPG to win the Cup. |

I doubt everything now. Not that I was ever a staunch defender of Snow, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt/optimism too many times. If/when the day comes that they do the right thing, that's awesome...but until then I won't put a shred of faith in the team to do the right thing. - eichiefs9
New owners are going to do the right thing.
Not happy with the results the last two years.

I disagree. You want an expansion team to succeed. Its how you grow the sport.
Even with the advantages they got, no one looked at that team on paper in the begining of the season and thought "Wow, thats a team that can compete for the cup!"
Gallant has to win the Adams. I just wish the taxi he got into after he got fired, Gorts was driving it. - mdw7413
I agree mdw, these guys were thrown together at the beginning of the year and not one picked them to be in the PO's, let alone win a first round in a sweep. I think Vegas had an advantage over past expansion teams but still putting a team together and have them buy into a system and gel right away in my book is quite remarkable. I give a lot of credit to McPhee and Gallant. |

With McPhee who Ledecky brought in to the Islanders at the helm. Thats the only part that pisses me off.
If L and M keep things status quo without some kind of change or new direction in The Management of this team then the negative comments and remarks about them recently are well deserved. There's still time to bring the right person in. I rather they take their time then rush into this decision imho.
I mean, I don't listen to the JT BS because I don't think he's made his decision so no one else can actually have a clue to what he is doing. A feeling, yes, actual fact on his decision, no way. I don't think the guys lucky enough to gather nuggets from players houses really know at this point. |

Regardless of JT singing, you gotta think the ownership is aware Snow is not the guy. For whatever reason he's still employed by the isles but im not sure to what capacity, as Botta has been reporting they are looking to bring in a president of sorts.
The fact that Snow is gambling on 91 signing here is an absolute travesty. After his history of failed extensions, to allow him to get to July 1 with the "hopes" he re signs him is total MISmanagement. Short of a private handshake deal, (which i dont believe to be the case otherwise he woulda signed already), allowing him to wait without testing the waters with his trade value is not team first.
If Lou Lam is available after Toronto got knocked out, you gotta pony up whatever it costs and give this guy complete autonomy, and let Snow take whatever title you want that has nothing to do with any hockey decisions. In two years the isles would be cup contenders under sweet Lou........they have picks and prospects to plug holes, which Snow has failed to do year after year. - kindlyrick
If they thought that then they should have fired him already. It’s amazing he still has a job. That being said, if they bring in Lou or Dean Lombardi to be GM, I don’t care what title Snow has or if he still is in the Isles’ employ |
