yup hoping they lose too

I don't care who comes out of the west. I am really hoping the Lightning wins the east. I will be disgusted in Boston or Pittsburgh goes to the finals.

I have friends in Nashville so I guess I would root for the Preds.

So I took this from a Staple article out of The Athletic on The Islanders Prospects starting with Sorokin.

1. Ilya Sorokin, goaltender, CSKA Moscow (KHL)

Selected 78th overall in 2014

2017-18 stats: 25-8-4, .931 save percentage, 1.59 goals-against average, eight shutouts

Season overview: This was a unique season for Sorokin, beginning with his surprising decision to sign a three-year extension with CSKA that basically guaranteed the Islanders wouldn’t see him in North America until at least 2020. The 22-year-old served as the backup for the Olympic Athletes of Russia in Pyeongchang in February, earning a gold medal while playing all of one period.

Sorokin led his team to the KHL’s Gagarin Cup final, but he wasn’t the preferred goaltender during the five-game series loss to Ak Bars Kazan — CSKA coach Igor Nikitin went with 30-year-old journeyman Lars Johansson for three of the games.

So the Isles’ most intriguing prospect, one who could solve so many of their current issues, remains out of reach. That doesn’t keep Sorokin from topping this list as he’s proven himself in a major pro league at a young age — he has 23 shutouts in three seasons as CSKA’s regular goaltender.

Team’s take: “I haven’t seen the Russian agreement, but word of mouth is he has two more years on his contract so I don’t envision him being an Islander in the near future. That doesn’t mean we don’t want him. We think he can be a top-tier goaltender in this league.” — Garth Snow

Just look what our brilliant GM says. Moron doesn’t know what the Russian contract is? Word of mouth really? Can’t make this shat up.

I though so, but I don't think they would ever call it in the playoffs.
