That wasn't as bad as Jani Pekkinen going down with that knee strain towards the end of that year. That took away fire power from Bridge's 3rd line. Probably what kept them out of the playoffs. Too bad, it would have been their first playoff appearance in almost 10 years.

On a sad note that's the year that Snow takes over as owner of the Isles. He announces he will continue in his role as PoHO and GM and he is bringing back Crappy to be head coach. He will also piss on all the Islander fans from a scaffold as they enter the building each game.
