How do I live for the next 7 hours?!?!?! IM SO STRESSED - Burkefection
Start drinking.
My plan was to work out at lunch today.
Got to the gym, fired open my gym bag: forgot to pack shorts.
So instead, I’m at St. Louis Wings - $5.50 burgers and pints on Wednesdays.
But I swear to Beatle John’s Jesus - it was an honest mistake. |

Plekanec can finally accomplish his mission tonight to completely habotage the Leafs.
He started up slow, then gained your confidence, made himself the man to counter the Bruins top line.
He's in the perfect spot to screw everyone up.
The perfect undercover agent.
Well done Plecky... well done. - Scabeh
Nice! |

If Leo plays tonight - that means that Leafs want to resign him for next season.
If he does not play, he is either still injured (and we spare him for round 2) or Lou doesn't care and Leafs go ahead without him next season. |

No way is he being signed. Management watch the games too and they don't miss a beat without him in the line up. His 3 million dollars are better allocated elsewhere. |

if he's back, i would think it would have to be for under $2M. like boyle, someone will likely give him more than that. |

Komarov 3y at 1.75million/year is not something Leafs will pass on.. |

He won’t take a pay cut.
Nor should he - players’ careers are short.
Someone else can pay him too much next year. |

Too expensive for a guy near the end of his career, injured, can't skate the same, plays 4th line and PK exclusively.
Let another GM give him that salary. |

Agreed. He is so replaceable now with Johnson, Kap and a few other rookies that paying him $3+ is a huge waste of Cap $ that need to go to our top 3.
We finally have really good young players on ELCs and to keep them in the line up when they come off of those ELCs we have to stop overpaying for mediocre talent to make the Cap work.
Fix our C depth with Tavares. Find some D support. Lose Koma and Bozek for sure.
And (frank) BOSTON RIGHT IN RJ"s HAT!!!

facts tell a different story.
leo is 31y young.
he was 7th in TOI of all forwards on the team during regular season. (15:47 ATOI)
(guess who was 3rd by the way).
he's missed 8 games this regular season.
missed 0 games last season.
now he missed 4 games in playoffs.
hardly an 'injured player'.
he's a 3rd line player that is responsible defensively (after hyman and matthews probably best in that on team still) and is very valuable on PK.
for 2mln or less, Leafs will take that any day. |

With two Toronto natives on my beer league team, I'm hoping for a Toronto six goal first period outburst, so we can put this one to bed early.
We need all hands on deck for a more important game... |

Zaitsev probably has like 24 more minutes on the PK alone |

Quick question:
Why does Labbatt’s charge $159.99 to Leafs fans for the Budweiser red light, but gives away (for free) the Blue Jays blue light homer glass with every two-four? - Atomic Wedgie

Leafs are doing just fine without his stone hands and non existent production.
Cap crunch is coming and the Leafs will need entry level players to fill in those spots.
