And Kapenen could be replaced by Jordan Nolan...Leafs are still a playoff team.

That's way too much. RoR has a lot of value, he's a 2C on most teams in the league. His value alone should get us a top ten pick, maybe not #4, though. But what we would have to add is minimal, a long shot prospect or even just eating some of ROR's contract.

Yea, the pick they got from Pittsburgh. the sabres could choose to deal ROR for picks and draft or deal him for picks and flip them for other young players in the next 12 months.

Why does the pick have to bust out? why can't it be another mittelstadt? or better? I recognize there's like a 30% chance a top 10 pick ends up being elite. But I also know there's a 100% chance ROR isn't anywhere close to that. At least in this scenario you're up 30% and 7.5 million.

Pouliot could go & be a pretty effective 4th line guy for someone like Pitt, Boston, etc

I get that you don't agree...but how is it nuts to think that 2 guys who are paid and played to be impact players that didn't make an impact are at fault?

The two of them were literally powerplay specialists this year+some defensive work by ROR (which outside of "my eyes" we can't really prove is in fact true).
