browns would be foolish to move out of 4...they'll get the pick of the litter when it comes to quarterbacks and one of the top-two players in the draft...
that rarely (if ever?) happens - Michael Pachla
While this is true, they also have holes to fill.
12 puts you in a position to get the tackle from Notre Dame to replace Thomas or gives you the ammo to move up a few spots to take him plus fills other needs.
They could walk out of the 1st rd with the franchise QB and tackle for the next 12 years.
Dude is going to give you 70+ and 55+ a year and has done it 6 out of the last 7 seasons (the 7th being the shortened season and he held out). He'll put up those numbers for the next 5 years.
Not a guy you build around but a very nice 2c that eats up mins. - dadeadhead
No, he's never had back to back 81 game seasons. Close, sure.
All I've said is that I take the under on 81/61. I think you would too. He not getting any younger.
If you really project 70/55 in each of the next 5 seasons, I'd take that bet any time.
Spent some time w/ #Bills GM Brandon Beane yesterday. Get the sense trading before #NFLDraft starts is super unlikely. He genuinely has no idea what #Browns are going to do at no. 1 - and that affects everything.

Does this mean the Bills guy is Sam Darnold and if the Browns don't take him they throw the kitchen sink at the Giants, or more likely move up and then try to get #2? WTF knows.

The way I've heard it is if the Browns take Darnold, the Bills and Giants trade.
If the Browns take anyone else but Darnold at 1, the Giants are taking Darnold.
80 and 81 are we grasping at straws at this point??
He has done 70+ and 55 + each of the past 5 years(with 3 of them 70+ and 60+) and is only 27, I see nothing to state he can't do it another 5 years. - dadeadhead
