I just spoke to Bills GM Brandon Beane. Key takeaways:

- He absolutely believes they have ammo to get to No. 2 without giving up much in future years — but might not need to go that high to get their guy.

- He does covet at least one QB as a franchise guy.

- This could be fun.

Bills GM Brandon Beane made clear to me he doesn’t plan to get robbed by anyone — especially the Giants at No. 2 overall — to move that high.

His leverage for avoiding that seems simple: He could still potentially get his QB with a move to No. 4 or No. 6.

My bet is that he will gauge what the Broncos are intending on doing. If they are not interested in a QB, he will trade to somewhere around 5-7 using our 2 1sts and a swap of mid rounders.

Also straight from his mouth the Bills were one of the 1st teams to meet with him during the combine.....

He's waiting to see what the Browns do 1st then he'll make his move.

IMO he wants one of Darnold, Allen, or Mayfield and knows if Mayfield is there at #3 the jets are taking him.

I think the best basis here is the McDermott quote from yesterday I believe. He was talking up possible QBs that maybe can't throw through a wall and are extremely accurate and have that leadership ability.

To me, seems like Rosen and Mayfield are the only choices here.

See you guys in 2020, maybe. I don't need to see 8,000 posts with Gerbe running around naked screaming about tanking for the 1st overall pick regardless of the chances of actually getting it for 2-3 more years.
