Strong arm...good
He completed 1, 1 pass 40+ yards...1.
Because he is generally inaccurate.
Hey, we all want for him to succeed, but making excuses for bad results on the leading indicators is dubious at best. - IonSabres
What about drops? What about poor route running? What about physically inferior receivers? Is that considered? |

Nobody is going to change your opinion, or the others who think Allen is a bum and will be a bum, but all I and others are trying to point out is that opinion is far from a certainty. - kingcong39
Absolutely true, no one knows for certainty.
I like the kid as a person, I want to pull for him
My beef isn’t with him...I do hope he has success.
My beef is with the Bills brass picking him there and all the capital expended to get what is likely, from many leading indicators (called analytics) that show he is probably 5 or 6 out of 6.
A known project, on a team that has not shown an ability to develop a QB in 20 years.
Coupled with they just signed a back-up QB to be his mentor.
It doesn’t look good, I’m sorry, it doesn’t. |

Read the article.
It is clear you are arguing generalities, and rhetoric.
Is the article the gospel...not by a long shot.
Does it do a good job of clarifying the rhetoric with facts and comparisons to other QB over time, yes.
It is another perspective that supports the concern the doubters like me have.

the bills brass looked harder at these 4 or 5 qb's then any other staff in bills history
that has to mean something, doesn't it? |

Nothing, when warranted.
He appears to be another Alex Nylander to me.
I want to get behind him, but holy crap the leading indicators don’t look good, and look worse when you strip away the rhetoric. |

and if we posted 10 articles that post why allen will be a really good pro qb, your not going to change
sit back, wait until preseason and trust the process

Yeah! They took their time and still (frank)ed it up!
No...I'm Allen's biggest fan now. I hear he also has insane vision. That's right up my ally. |

I'm not saying he will be great. I'm saying to give him a (frank)ing chance. Saying "he will suck" is an opinion based on past performances on a different team running a different system. Look at what systems can do for players. - TheSabresTaco
What does “give him a chance” even mean?
He’s gonna be our QB regardless of my opinion
Why does me hating the pick brother you so much?
I can only say i hope I’m wrong so many times |

Well, maybe.
We’ll never know...but damn I wish I could see their board and been in on the discussion (listen mode only obviously) to see how they justified it.
My beef is not moving up, paying the price to get their #1 guy...it feels like they settled for #3.

Watch that video I posted Taco. The comment from Simms about how many screens the other top QB's threw compared to him helped inflate their completion percentages. - kingcong39
His short range completion % was still bad |
