I'd bring back Archibald, Weircioch maybe Bachman (depends if Demko is in the NHL).

Virtanen, Stetcher, maybe Pouliot and Boucher

- 93Nucks

Well Canucks can play around re-signing a bunch of players that could make a case for playing in Utica or you can go full scale changes. IMO Benning should be looking at teams that need some D and packaging Tanev Sven and maybe even Sutter for a Center and first round pick . Both NY teams have at least one extra pick .

You have cap space and assets to make big moves. I don't mean UFA signings

Example : Granlund for Coyle and Ennis( Salary dump)
Hutton for a second MTL

i'd be all over both those moves.
i also liked your suggestion of Tanev and Granlund for Dumba and Coyle or whatever it was.
i like Coyle.

I think Coyle is grittier than Sutter and cheaper , point production similar . I would prefer him over Spezza or Bozo

Minny are in a win now mode. They can keep adding through the draft but Parise Granlund Koivu Suter are not getting younger

What would you rate Coyle? 2nd liner? 3rd liner? Center or Winger?

Parise & Suter injuries & contracts give then not much choice although they still have good prospects. Niedereiter has to step up.

2nd liner on this team.
v good 3rd liner on a good team.

i think we'd play him as a C.

he's younger as well... i think.

i don't think Minny would give him up too easy.
but they are going to make some changes, so...

Depends. On Minny a 2C elsewhere a 3C or a top 6 winger. Here he is a 2C unless EP or AG pan out as a top 2C’s. I see EP as a top 3 winger. AG needs time.

Minny would drop close to 8 mil in cap space for Coyle Ennis for Granlunds brother at 1.2 mil . Cap space has a cost

On this team 2nd liner behind Boeser. He doesn't play much center in Minny. He sort of dissappears in the playoffs also. 44 games 15 points.

There are worse players then him out there but only way i'd be down if Van wasn't paying much for him (don't see that happening).

I don't see a 50 point player and a cap dump for a 12 point player.

A 50 point forward and 50 point D for Tanev and Granlund. Only if Van is tossing in Lind.

As for us with 21 contracts open its as many think & turn the corner time. The rebuild is now so that means more kids in the line-up & trades for top picks/prospects.

Trade Tanev although it sets us back & idc about the injuries. Thats from his role & all the travel that adds to it. He is more than hard to replace but a trade chip we need to use. High pick & a good prospect. Wingers for him is a waste of time unless other dominoes fall eg Sven & Granlund. Hutton has the off season to get his ass in shape or cut bait asap if JB thinks he’s plateaued.

Hope for this every season and no matter how many different players move on. The results are going to stay the same until they can get better talented NHL players. The team has been getting younger year after year.

Matthews for tanev

Your problem now

- Tumbleweed

It's fun watching your fanbase turn on Matthews.

Your fanbase deserves all of the ridicule it gets. Pathetic.

How do you make changes in Minny if you don't move players? So Vancouver thinking you have. Hang on until there is no value. The big bonus to Minny would be the 7 mil in cap space

Coyle had 37 pts last year not 50

I don't disagree. I like what Archibald brings and think he's something the team needs with the loss of Dorsett. I, like most think Granlund and Sven are expendable. Tanev I'd love to have traded but Benning seems to really like him.

Gary Buttman has to fcuk with everything. Stupid new draft layout on Saturday. I do hope the Canucks win the lottery still.

Its more about what Tanev brings to the table & any GM would like him. His injuries & offence is what too many ppl harp on but it remains that he is a great add for almost any team not named eg Nashville

Tbh anything the NHL does that drums up hype is a good thing. Its a business & in direct competition with the NBA. Hockey is in a battle for US entertainment bucks & always has been. TV is where the money is & a long ways still to go.
