yes, IMO the perfect 3rd line center for a team that wants to play an upbeat north south game - homiedclown
Jeezuz....I just read on here a few pages back someone saying McCabe was as good as Trouba and now he can be dealt straight up for Helm?
Helm is a good player, and the type of veteran that could help a young team like yours, but if McCabe is as good as I’ve head here that’s a massive overpay for a low scoring player that is hurt a lot.

you ask 10 fans you'll get 10 answers.
Moral of the story, don't ask the fans, do your own research.

mccabe is potential
they will have to move either mccabe or scandella in the next 12 months, and if mccabe can land a piece, do it

Some people see McCabe as this All-Star defenseman that was going to see the light with Phil Housley and be this awesome defenseman

This from the guy that wants to give Sam away because he’s a bust and wants bust nylander in the nhl.... brilliant. - gordong
Well nylander only 20 was hurt all year recovering from an injury I'm pretty sure he's going to work his butt off and be ready for Camp if not then he will get some Shadow from me
Sam the Great how many points in the first 2 months ??
And all of a sudden he just starts playing when playoffs are gone nothing to play for but a contract

Sam is just a kid too. He’ll never live up to his draft selection but could still be a vey solid piece for the Sabres future.

If you read back I was basing it on pro rated success based on games played and talent level. If he gets hurt he could be a forgotten man in 10 years.
I could pump the brakes, but how many NHL players in the leagues entire history have won back to back scoring titles in his first 3 seasons?
You can deny his talent all you want pal, but what he’s acomplished on a garbage team is truly amazing. - Larsson_fan
I could prorate a hundred current or former NHL players that had promising starts, a few career years, a couple scoring titles, etc. That doesn't make them generational. Great start, he's great, enjoy him.
Again, let's see him do it, year after year after year for 10-12 years like so many before him have.
