The top ten has players that will step right into the NHL - gerbe75pts
then why in the world would someone trade a top 10 pick for him |

ROR scored 30 primary points in wins or overtime losses on the team that finished last in the league
"easily replaced" - robz228
And he quit on the team and is not fast

He scores at EV like a below average 2nd line center. That’s a fact.
If you want to be impressed with him potting goals 5 on 4 because the opposition takes away Eichel’s shot from the left side, and gives him plenty of room on the right, be my guest. - sbroads24
Oh so now nothing on the powerplay counts
give me a break man. like i said, first points in losses didnt count because he only scores when we are behind
(not true)
next powerplay secondary assists don't count because thats all he does
(not true)
now powerplay points don't count at all because eichel is on the ice
when does it stop? |
|
|
|
We already went down this rabbithole and you kept eliminating stats of him saying they dont count until we were down to 30 primary points in wins or OTLs
spare me that anyone will score on the powerplay - robz228
Someday Brad Pitt will star in a movie and trade the guys who rode along on his PP....then everyone will accept it.

You’ve got an elite level Rasmus on your hands. The other one is an okay bottom pairing PP specialist. Dahlin will carry Ristolainen on his back for the next decade. |

he didn't quit, he said he lost his love of the game. if he puts up 60 points in a season he quit then i guess hes incredible.
hes slow, can't argue that. |

You keep putting that phrase in my mouth.
PP points count. They all count.
You know what leads to winning over an extended period of time? Being a threat 5 on 5.
Ryan O’Reilly is not a threat 5 on 5 |

I have no idea how Risto got this PP specialist label. He's really nothing special on the PP and is about to be replaced by someone who is. |

I can’t wait until Dahlin takes some PP points from Ristolainen and people can then pretend Risto “regressed” |

Forwards who played at least 50 games with a dzone start % higher than ROR (57.3) with a rel corsi of at least +2 (RoR is +4.2)
Alexsandr Barkov
Mikko Koivu
Players that have remotely close to this combo
Loui Eriksson (50 GP, +2.9, 53.1%)

Okay, i will revise my statement. If you get an NHL ready player who plays near his caliber within 2 years, i'd take it.
anything short of that, he should stay or get an already NHL ready defenseman |

Ryan O’Reilly - 484
Alex Ovechkin- 468

alright so how many players with less than 484 even strength ozone starts scored more than 38 even strength points?
id look that up but im seriously distracting myself from my job
clearly theres no convincing you, but ROR is not even close to being easily replaced. It would take 2 players.
Mittelstadt coming up is icing on the cake, not a replacement for one of the few good players already here. |

I already said if we can deal Ryan O'Reilly to St Louis for Jaden Schwartz,Barbashev or a 1st ( you have to look at the centers of that team they have zero besides one
Or move him to Vancouver for a first and Tanev

Most. O’Reilly was 22nd among forwards in offensive zone starts.
He got the offensive zone advantages of a teams best player (1-31)
And was tied for 111th in EV points among forwards with 34.
He isn’t great offensively. He’s a competent player |

RoR was 125th in even strength scoring. Not going to check on zone starts, but most of them would have less. RoR takes a ton of draws.

Can we call Stastny a comparable to ROR? Why would they trade Stastny then trade for ROR?
Benning seems like a moron, maybe they can swindle vancouver. that'd be good. |
