Sabres need to send out either Bogo or Beaulieu. Guess who it will probably be? Bring in Borowiecki and the D is set.

ROR and Sam stay. You can throw out any stat you want about ROR or Sam, but you don’t know how better they will be on a better team. Theyre both slow, but as Rayzor pointed out theyre effective playing together because they play at the same speed. Sabres are all set at Center with ROR and his line is all set with Sam no matter who the other winger is.

They need to find a goal scorer for Eichel. You have anyone on the roster not named Eichel, ROR, Sam, Mittelstadt, Risto, Dahlin or Guhle along with any draft picks besides this year’s #1 to work with in a trade. If you can’t get the goal scorer this Summer, then you get him in free agency in 2019. Skinman Cometh.

The lottery win got us back in business. This place will be a player’s destination in Summer of 2019.

Wait... you want to trade O’Reilly?
Tell me more

- jdfitz77

I do.

I also wanted the Sabres to draft D men the last few years. What do you think?

I forgot I had Galchenyuk in there too (my bad)

3rd and Galchenyuk for 10th overall and Risto

The original idea was ROR and Risto for 3rd and Galchenyuk

- Stripes77

Ok...
but then Nelson & Bogosian as our best RH defensemen would be a disaster

Obvious answer would be to sign Carlson...
but would he come here?
And if so, how much would it take?
I’d think at least 8mil per,
if not more

the only logic I can come up with

if they are playing casey as a center, the experiment at the end of the season was for life without ror because ror does not fit the blueprint botts outlined

if your playing an uptempo north south game, that blueprint starts with your top 3 centers

Benjamin Allbright

@AllbrightNFL
To my knowledge, two teams had Allen as top QB. The rest had Mayfield or Darnold.

No one I spoke with had Rosen, Jackson or Rudolph as top QB.

That if they drafted Sergachev or Chychrun,
then we’d be in a better position to trade Risto or reduce his minutes
That’s pretty much a given

However, even i don’t bring that up EVERY SINGLE DAY like u do trading ROR

And your trading O’Reilly theory,
is unproven as to whether it would be the right move or not

No one is gonna say we shouldn’t have taken defense over Nylander...
or over Karabacek or Cornel...
or traded McNabb for Fasching

Those were my previous biggest “defenseman gripes”

And i was 100% correct in every single on

But I’ll let u get back to bashing O’Reilly
Thanks,
We all forgot u want the guy who’s wearing an “A” for Canada gone
Yeah... he must be a terrible leader
Weird

Picking Nylander was a crushing blow. We’d have one piece worth a damn that we could afford to move.

LW Depth: Erod, Wilson, BAILEY, Girgensons, Nylander, SMITH, O’REGAN

RW Depth: Reinhart, Okposo, OLOFSSON, Bailey, Pominville, Baptiste, Pu, Fasching, Oglevie

C Depth: Eichel, Mitts, ROR, Erod, Asplund, Pu, DAVIDSSON, Malone, Girgensons, Larsson

LHD Depth: Dahlin, Scandella, McCabe, Guhle, Pilut, Beaulieu

RHD Depth: Risto, Nelson (maybe), Bogosian, Borgen.

G Depth: Ullmark................

If Risto is moved we are franked on the right side. We have nothing on the left side forwards wise. Reinhart seems to be apart of the future. ROR is a piece that can be moved to bring in a LW or a RHD that helps improve the organization. Yes I have Erod listed at LW and C cause he can play both as well as Girgensons, that is not an error.

ROR, Reinhart, and one of the LHD have to be looking over their shoulder at this point IMO. Unless we are throwing a boat ton of money at FA to fill holes on this roster.

I used CAPS to show where u left some guys off
Bailey has been playing mostly LW for the last 2yrs
Nylander has played both wings, but more at RW than left actually

Left off O’Regan, who plays all 3 forward spots, but i put him at LW bc that’s where we are weakest

Also left off :
Olofsson, who i believe plays mostly RW
Cj Smith, who is a LW
Davidsson, who plays center (so far)

O’Reilly is so bad at leadership he’s wearing an “A” for team Canada

I didn’t really even mind Nylander,
it was just that we ignored Defense...
AGAIN

Murray was ridiculous in that aspect
Made no damn sense

I certainly didn’t bring it up today,
you did

I certainly didn’t bring it up yesterday, or the day before, or actually in a while

When’s the last day u didn’t tell us all we should trade ROR?
If there even was a day, I’ll bet u haven’t gone 2 days without saying it for months now

Have u?

Yea that was a quick one minute post off the top of my head. Left off some notables. But logic still remains. ROR is the first player move if we are moving someone from the supposed “core”. If Botts decides to move anyone at all.

That’s not even what I’m mad about
(although it was dumb)

It’s that he had no backup plan if any of them didn’t live up to his expectations

Didn’t draft any defenseman in the 2nd or better, except Guhle
That was the ONLY move he made on defense that looks like it’s gonna work out
