Had Chiarelli, just given up the high 2nd rounder, it still would have been too much. He was already a failed prospect at that point. You can’t teach a guy how to skate at 21 years old. He was on the outs with the Islanders and we traded away a large chunk of our future for an AHL defender. This alone should be enough to be fired for.
