This is getting so confusing...Tkachuk or Zadina?
- stinger67
They'll go with Zadchuk.
Or "Tkachina", but it sounds a bit weird. |

MY 2 CENTS
If Montreal don’t sign Tavares (they won’t) they need to trade Gallagher. The team is not winning for 3 years and by that time Gallagher won’t be effective. He is small and plays a big game. His body will be run down by the time Montreal contends. Count your lucky stars that he just had a healthy 30 goal season and trade him while his value is at his highest. |

I don’t mind Weber sticking around if he can mentor the young D prospects like he did in Nashville. But I would get rid of the rest for sure. Unless MB can perform a miracle this summer and sign Tavares plus find a partner for Weber. |

Re Patches...... You and Montreal over value him so much..... that a trade will not happen until the trade deadline in 2019....... you will get a very late 1 st in the 2019 draft and a prospect that would have a slim chance to crack your A.H.L . Roster.... - Deanyoungblood7
Do you have a favorite team?
Just looking at your recent posting history. You like the "drop a bomb and leave" method, it seems. Well, thanks for your opinion, if that is what it was. Next time, maybe stick around to defend it, or discuss it. |

Trade patch to the Isles for a package including one of their 1st round picks and then draft Kotkaniemi. - J-P
Pacioretty, on his last year probably won't fetch a young 1st line C... If they wanna acquire a recently drafted, projected to be 1st line C they'll have to trade the pick |

I would rather have a top c then another Drouin or Galchenyuk. So I would pull the trigger for the right C. |

Bergevin has done a solid job with Pacioretty. because now he either has to trade him as a pending UFA coming off the worst year of his career, or he has to sign him long term and pay him as a first line forward through the declining years of his career, a la Carey Price.
we can criticize Bergevin for a lot of things, but there might not be a better general manager in all of professional sports when it comes to asset management. he is an absolute genius. |

Montreal is not in a totally awful place if the right person was running the show. They are set up for a nice quick turnaround like New Jersey. Galchenyuk Drouin Lehtkonen Poehling plus this years 3rd overall. Mete Juulsen on D and they say Bourque and Brook are really good. Next years awesome draft is loaded with Centers in the top 10 that can step in right away. Trade Pacioretty and Gallagher for great returns. Tank next year. Trade Price if someone will take the contract. Retain a couple million per if you have to.
Problem is MB won’t trade anybody and sign Plekanec and Stasny to bad contracts. Maybe bring over Voynov. A bounce back season from Price and Montreal is right back in the poop pile. Border line playoff team with no shot of winning and selecting 20 something overall |
