Not being a Richard. I’m just wondering who you think makes that much of impact on this team at 19 to stay in the draft, and not look for a 3c or top nine wing. - Hokeeguy9
I don't think 3Cs are worth first round picks. If you can get a good player that is approaching his prime it changes things a bit, but most likely it is going to cost you. Of course you make a trade if it is a no brainer, I just don't see it happening as easily as some may think.
As far as who do I like? Akil Thomas, Jack McBain, Filip Johansson (later), BO Groulx (later), Sandin, Kupari, Martin Kaut |

If it is for Stone I take back everything I said. I am in love with Mark Stone (not quite Barzal/Sanheim love, but still true love) - YuenglingJagr
Stone would be fantastic for us and brings a game we desperately need. |

I found it strange several folks agreed with you there....check out the +/- in the playoffs. Giroux -10, Ghost -8, Prov - 6, Patrick -5, Voracek -3.
It was the top 6 that were badly outplayed in the playoffs. - kennygarcon
Mainly because the Pens were able to stack the deck against Giroux et al because they didn't have to worry about our 3rd and 4th lines beating them.

He is so underrated. I really wonder what Ottawa will pay to keep him. |

Question, considering the expansion draft that will come in the near future, does this encourage Hexy to keep talented young guys down such as Hart and Frost. If you bring them up next year would they have to be protected in order to not lose them? |

If rumors of when the draft will happen are true and it stays consistent with what happened in Vegas, anyone that wasn't on the Flyers or Phantoms this season will be exempt.
I think it is worth noting that someone the Flyers trade a first round pick for would most likely have to be protected |

I’m really sold on that Hexy is not ready to pull the trigger in the free agent market yet. This team isn’t ready yet. I don’t think he will go after a starting goalie. He will stay pat and wait for Hart (not rushing the kid). If Hart continues his growth then he will wait. If Hart stumbles then I think we see some big goalie movement. That is why the contracts expire after next year. If he has the goalie he will go after the other pieces aggressively.
I could be wrong. Matter of fact...I usually am. |

I think you're absolutely right about that but then again, I could be wrong.
I'm going to make a prediction. Many will be unhappy with what Hextall does in the off season. |

Same. Would be great if he continues on the current development trajectory. |
