maybe. I mean, good for JB, but nelson has a grand total of a couple hundred minutes of nhl ice time as a third pair guy. if he had any leverage at all, it wasn't worth risking the minutes he could get here to further his career knowing how weak the team is on the right side.

Good post. Won't ruin the team to get rid of him, but he certainly could help solidify that bottom 6 for us.

Totally agree, when we get a call up we need to put them in an appropriate line. Baptiste gets two goals in a game, then is down to 4th line minutes the next night. That's not how "earning it" works.

Looks like it's a 1 way deal, so pocketing 1.6m in an organization that's he's comfortable in and has a solid opportunity in is good. Feels like he could have got more in free agency, but glad to be wrong on this one. I like him as a 6/7.

Our D might actually be an asset as soon as next year. I think pushing every one down a slot or two is going to be make a world of difference. So will not having the ice tilted one way for 2/3 of the game (if we can make that happen).

Our D might actually be an asset as soon as next year. I think pushing every one down a slot or two is going to be make a world of difference. So will not having the ice tilted one way for 2/3 of the game (if we can make that happen).

We need to pass better too. All last year even when we had clean chances for a break out, that first pass was either in the skate or way behind the breaking wingers. Our passing was horrible last year.
