2. Casey at 19 years old and playing 5 games wasn't going to ruin this tank. We needed to sign him for this fan base. Did you think they signed him to win out?
3. Nelson needed a look. Hes a popular guy on the board but, 2 for 1.6 isn't getting us wins. He is not a difference maker enough to actually push us forward.
4. Why not have a young rookie added to this poop show of a season. Guhle needed a look. Probably earlier if we were really trying to win all season.
5.ullmark played 3 games? Went we already in last for a few weeks

Nolan, Criscuolo, and Griffith don't play nearly enough to make an impact, good or bad.

If they hold out Eichel then they get accused of tanking forsure. Eichel came back because he personally wanted to. Who wouldn’t want to earn an extra couple of million in bonuses ? I don’t agree that this was a purposeful tank, but no moves made in the offseason or in season makes me think that Botts was trying to rush to make the playoffs. I firmly believe he was expecting a bottom 8 selection. 1st overall is just an added bonus.
