Wow um incredibly no!

I was only brainstorming. And I would only do it if it was a sign and trade with Doughty.

It's not an unreasonable price tag for Doughty at all. But it's also not the smart move for the Isles, with his age and what kind of contract he'll be due. But it's irrelevant because I can't fathom a scenario where he'd have any interest in signing here.

40 goal scorer a promising dman in Pulock and two #1's seems very high even for Doughty.

None of this conversation really matters because we know it's not going to happen. But it is better than discussing the same old crap day-in, day-out I guess.

That it is. Just seems like a Milbury type deal. I would not mind the Isles trading one of the #1's and one of the 2's. I would even look into trading Lee. Just not Lee, Pulock, and the two 1's for one player.

That's about the going rate for a bonafide superstar #1 defenseman that scores a lot. I love Lee and Pulock, but I think you're overvaluing them a little bit.

Frankly, I still like the idea of considering moving Lee for the right defenseman. He's entirely likely to come close to doubling his cap hit on his next deal and, if Tavares stays, that's going to be real tough to do.

Building this team from the forwards back isn't working, it's time to start building from the goaltender on out.

The more I think about it the more I think trading Lee this summer is the right thing. If JT walks Lee may still get around 40 goals playing with Barzal but its a risk. See what's offered and sell high.

I like the way he plays. He's a class act and has a great charity. I'll miss him, but they should shop him around.

I'm valuing Pulock over Lee. Giving Lee a big money long term deal scares me. I think it may be a good idea to trade Lee this offseason for defensive help. I agree about building this team from the goaltender out.

I have no doubt Lou is not going to snap his fingers and fix everything, but he would be a great choice. I have no worry at all Garth will interfere with Lou if he remains. Lou would be running the show.

Toronto was a shat show and in 1 year they were back in the POs and a legitimate P.O. team.
Ses, Lou’s gonna come and change the direction and Charecter of this franchise.

I love the guy and I'm not dying to lose him, but at the end of the day we haven't done dick with this group. Trading pretty much anyone, in the right deals, should be on the table. It would be a tough sell, especially if we lose Tavares, but I see no point in scoring so many goals if we can't keep any out of the net and actually win a respectable number of games.

There aren't a ton of defenseman out there I'd throw Lee in a package for, and there are probably even fewer that are candidates to actually be traded, but there's definitely some and that option should be explored. Especially if Tavares leaves and they can't figure out the goaltending situation. Something needs to change on the blueline and fast.

I agree 7. I'm not expecting a Cup in the 1st year but I think we will notice a big change early on. I'd rather Garth be fired, but I do not see Garth causing big problems for Lou. Again I'll go back to my point. when has Garth ever showed he had a passion for this job? He works maybe two days the entire year.

JT or not, the mix has to be changed with this team and trading Lee does not mean taking anything back for him. Isles would need some good pieces back for him. Bellows can hopefully play a power forward game and I'm not expecting him to get 40, but Isles trading from a position of strength in offense to improve the D or goalie makes sense.

If JT stays we probably can't afford Lee. If JT walks the teams goes into rebuilding mode. I don't see Lee scoring 40 without JT. It's possible Lee could find chemistry with Barzal, but Barzal plays a different style than JT. In either case I think they should shop him. I'm sure there will be a lot of teams interested in a 40 goal scorer with a $3,750,000 cap hit. They would get him for the year and have a chance to sign him. If it doesn't work out they could trade him at the deadline and get back some of their loses.

Plus we won't have to go through this will he or won't he sign all of next year like we've been doing with JT.

After 12 years I've concluded that Snow isn't a very good GM. Also I'm not sure Weight should be the head coach.

Yeah, we have a trade chip right now that should have it's value maximized while we still can. These morons are huffing some real caustic shit if they think that we need Anders Lee for some sort of playoff run next year and especially deluded if Tavares walks and they think that.
