all sorts of bloggers speculating about the Rangers moving up to 2nd overall, trading with Carolina.
To me, if they pulled that off, it's gotta be for Zadina to pair him with Chytil - jimbo83

Going to be either Zib or Hayes. Book it |

Well that is interesting especially if we sign Taveras to replace him

That is crazy and scary...guess that guy didn't have many friends there. - climbdenali12
Certainly, the fine human being who just stood there recording the scene wouldn't be counted as a friend! WTF. You can't put the phone down and help someone being mauled by a (frank)ing bear?!?!?!?!
edit: now that I watch that with the sound, I realize that there were plenty of people there. And not a single one who would try to help the poor guy. |

Won’t know that is the case until after the deal. Are you willing to take that risk? |

I would trade Zib. He isn't a number 1. Great on the PP, below average 5 on 5. Defensively stinks. No problem trading him at all even if JT isn't in the picture |

I agree, I don't like the idea of trading Zibanajed, although if it's to make room for Tavares contract I get it |

and if they want Hayes for the number 2, see ya later Hayes. Would prefer Zib, but I wouldn't pass that up. |

whatever, the Rangers have 4 major assets from that trade that will take years to evaluate.
Everyone reasonable knows Tampa won that trade in the short term
hell, even Montreal won the Gomez-McDonagh trade in the short term |

Crazy thing is that both teams can win the trade. Tampa was going for it, so they traded assets. If they Win the Cup, and the trade looks great for Tampa, it also looks better for the Rangers. The teams had much different goals in making that trade and the Rangers don't lose the trade if Tampa wins the Cup.

On the Zibby and 9th rumor. I was actually wondering last week whether the Rangers would trade Zibby and the 9th to move up to number 3 (as the Habs need a center). |
