Well, there's not much substance to that statement if you live in buffalo. You're practically in the arctic already. - rawwdogg88
I'd rather lick Kevin Smith's armpits than live in New Jersey. Although the former is a requirement for the latter, I believe |

What sillier:
- having your team finish 31st with players who apparently are problem child’s, but fans wanting to keep the same roster
- expecting teams to trade the Sabres gems for their castoffs
- focusing on changing the bottom 6 and bottom pairings when the team
A) was the lowest scoring team in the league
B) had one of if not the biggest goal differential
C) is stocked at center, yet has zero LWs and one RW who can produce
Where is the help coming from the?
I know you aren’t saying trade Larssons for Patrick Laine ... but how would you suggest filling so many holes without burning through 3 - 4 more years of Jack or acquiring studs like Moulson, Pommer and Okposo? - IonSabres
Problem children according to who? RoR is wearing a letter for Team Canada, we are the only ones saying this. Kane was a lockerroom nightmare until he went to SJ and started literally taking the WC by storm.
I would promote from within. Unfortunately we won't so it's a moot point. I'd move Mitts or RoR to wing. I would pay anything I could to trade Okposo and Bogo. If it isn't a 1st rounder, it's yours. Rinse, repeat until the dead weight is gone. Continue to sign low risk, high reward types in FA. I would keep Lehner so I could ease in Ullmark for a year. I'd keep just about anyone 25 or under with 20+points.
I don't expect to be good next year, just better. But by following this path I think we could be "good" or at least contending for a playoff spot in a couple years. |

Certainly one of the (many) ripple effects of Dahlin is commanding better return from any traded player. Re: ROR, maybe he fetches even more at the trade deadline, after a) Mittelstadt has played most of an AHL season as #1C, and b) we have payed most of ROR's 18-19 salary. - bblaine
He probably will never play a shift in Rochester |

I do like some of your points and do want to see the kids get their chance for a longer period of time than 3 or 4 games. Bailey and Baptiste now need to produce or will be gone given their status, no longer able to be sent done without clearing waivers.
I’ll be amazed if Botts can dump Bogo or Okposo without taking something back, giving something of value up...hopefully I’m wrong.
BTW - we started “saying”about ROR and his constant comment about needing to be better, yes. However, you will agree that HE dropped the bomb about losing passion and accepting losing. THAT is a problem...I didn’t create it, he did.
And various players have boldly stated some other players don’t play the system and it is a problem...multiple players, multiple times said it...Botts said it at the Presser.
Just because some don’t like PHam but when he named Risto as one of the guys, many on this board discarded it as BS. Funny as hell to me...I guess this board knows more from these discussions and watching games on their phones then the players themselves and the reporter embedded with the team.
So yes, problem child’s for sure...there are probably a couple more...I.e. Larssons.
But what the hell, let’s keep the faint of heart and hope they have the fortitude to lead the kids through their development years. |

This is why the whole country rolls their collective eyes at Jersey and snickers.
Btw, wasn’t it great watching that trap crap for 25 years...real exciting hockey. The one team everyone hated to go see as STH’s. When I haD them.
Glad your team came out into the light. |

Lol, so original. What's that joke about 25 years old now? Plus, AZ, Carolina, and Florida would be way ahead of us for relocation considerations, if you want to speak seriously about that. |

Ooh looks like I touched a nerve there. Your team has what, 3 cup wins, and still nobody cares. Better start making the transition to being a flyers fan now. Or maybe the rangers or the Islanders.
The most interesting thing going on in Jersey is the two football teams from NY that play there |

Bunch of duds on here with extreme lack of wit. Go read a book and do some math problems. You lames need brain exercise to keep up with me. No wonder buffalo has sucked for so long. Look at all the uninspiring fans they have to play for. |

Botteril was on a podcast a couple days ago saying he understood ROR's comments, I don't think it's a dealbreaker for him.
I'm a Hawks fan first, and can confidently say that trading ROR or Ristolainen would be a dumb move. Both guys tilt the ice toward the opposing net, and I'd kill to have either one on the Hawks.
Reinhart is only 22 or 23 I believe, he hasn't blossomed into a #2 overall expectation but he could also put up 65 points on a good team. You don't give up young cost controlled players who can compete.
Good luck next season boys, hopefully this year is a big turnaround for both our teams. - ObeseOprah
