Don't Live in Detroit . Just grew up travelling 50 miles to see games there. And saw many games at old Olympia as well as Joe Louis arena . I am well aware how scary Detroit is . But cannot throw away a childhood curse of loving the Wings through some really rough years before it was turned around . Long before there even New Jersey devils or even Cleveland Barons.

I go to 5-6 games a year. It's actually in the nicer part of the city. You must've never made a trip to the rock. Actually one of the few areas where you can feel safe walking around Newark.
