Well I love all the optimism that Pettersson will be not only in the NHL full time right off the jump. But some here think this guy is the going to be the best Canuck ever, all I can say is I hope so, but I'm not there quite yet.

I think if EP makes the team(likely not hard to do) he will start slow and finish strong. Probably about an even year I would say. I could see EP being a top 3 finalist for Calder if he makes it.

With this roster I just can't see how he won't be in a Canuck Uni. He walks past both Kent Nilsson's and Peter Forsberg's records...and to my knowledge neither Forsberg or Nilsson spent one game in the AHL. There's always the possibility he could go back to the SEL but with this roster here and the Sedins gone it's a pretty safe bet he'll be playing.

I tend to be overly critical of prospects because nothing annoys me more than fans hyping up the Cassels and Subbans of the world....if you can’t skate and can’t think the game you are an extreme long shot. Jake is getting by on his skating and size but he is an exception. Pettersson has it. Just like Boeser did. Sublime skill and the drive to be the best. He won’t be denied.

I’d be shocked if he isn’t top 3 in scoring next season despite his anorexic frame. Partly because we suck but mainly because he will be a stud

I just spent 5 days in the hospital almost died last week. The nurse told me I was a medical wonder. Some of the nurses actually shook my hand. She told me that the pain threshold for a normal flu is 200 . My pain threshold was over 8000. They put me on IV for three days and it returned to normal. I had a reaction to a new med they put me on a few weeks earlier . I can not begin to tell you how painful it was but it was 400 times stronger than a Flu.

For the next two months only liquid meals no alcohol and no fun.

I'm the opinion that you win all over the ice, not just center. That's the problem now, the 5 teams still remaining are loaded with skill in all positions. You load up on centers then your defence tends to lag, you load up on wingers then you don't have anyone who can get the puck to them, you load up on defence and now you don't have any snipers. That's one of the issues I have always had with BPA, the roster isn't big enough and not enough ice time if you keep taking the BPA.

Yes, you can trade your surplus for what you need, but nowadays with championship teams being close up to the cap, now more than even teams are even more unwilling to let go of their producing players on ELC or cheap short term deals to help with cap management.
