lol...he'll need to back up a bit before he starts. When Dipietro is backing up Demko here we should be in good shape long term. - LordHumungous
I don't care who is the backup as long as it isn't Nilsson. Complete trash |

Scott Wheeler at the Athletic posted his rankings of the top 100 prospects
1 - Dahlin
2 - Svechnikov
3 - Zadina
4 - Hughes
5 - Wahlstrom
6 - Boqvist
7 - Bouchard
8 - Tkachuk
9 - Kotkaniemi
10 - Farabee
Wahlstrom seems to be rising and Tkachuk falling in some of the mock stuff I've seen |

On the bright side I haven't seen anybody saying Demko should be in net to start next season - NorthNuck
Give it a week, Marwood is right, too many unknowns with player personal, hopefully a few UFA's will be sought after and let the prospects develop in the minors. |

The solution is to wrap all our top prospects in bubble wrap and send them to Utica to be coddled. The NHL is full of meenies. Just ask Subban - CanuckDon

They have said if Demko can prove in camp that he belongs they will keep him up in the NHL. Personally I'd like to see Nilsson sold at the deadline and bring Demko in to back up after that. |

Ya it's a tough one. Marky clearly can't handle the starter role and if Demko is here backing up Marky it will only be a matter of weeks before they are calling for Demko to be the starter. Not a fan of keeping Nilsson here till TDL but not sure we'll have much of a choice. |

We know next year isn't a playoff year. Goaltending-wise all that matters is what is best for Demko, I think what that is is the majority of another year as an AHL starter. He can come in and get used to playing NHL hockey once we're starting to drop out of the playoff race so the ridiculous expectations can be held off until the following season.
Nilsson may be a sieve but it's not like replacing him with Demko is going to make next season less painful... |

Agree with this, don't rush the kids unless they unequivocally prove they belong. |

I really want them to sign Evander Kane, big, powerful LW who's young and fast. I'd rather have JVR or Grabner over Vanek. JVR will want term though. |

Well I guess all the reported news was just fake news, yes he can play hockey, but he can also alienate fellow teammates.
I am divided on how I feel about Kane, looked good in San Jose, but was an issue in Winnipeg and Buffalo. Has he found the new path, is he reformed or just waiting to fcuk up again at the Roxy...I'm so conflicted |

Who knows, it's not an exact science. Ferraro loves the kid and what he brings, I trust his opinion not having seen the kid play. |

IMO if you're signing a winger sign someone younger/faster because you're probably going to end up having them in the top 6. If they sign anyone I would prefer a C but as I stated yesterday I don't think we actually need to sign a single forward unless we trade one we already have first. |
