Well I guess all the reported news was just fake news, yes he can play hockey, but he can also alienate fellow teammates.
I am divided on how I feel about Kane, looked good in San Jose, but was an issue in Winnipeg and Buffalo. Has he found the new path, is he reformed or just waiting to fcuk up again at the Roxy...I'm so conflicted - Makita
I feel the exact same way. So hard to know if it would be worth the risk. |

Obviously he had issues with maturity but I think he's coming around, I'd be all in on him if I were Benning. He's a great young pier forward and he's only four years older than Horvat. |

Who knows, it's not an exact science. Ferraro loves the kid and what he brings, I trust his opinion not having seen the kid play. - LeftCoaster
i think whoever gets hughes or wahlstrom in the 5-10 range are going to be the big winners of the draft. |

IMO if you're signing a winger sign someone younger/faster because you're probably going to end up having them in the top 6. If they sign anyone I would prefer a C but as I stated yesterday I don't think we actually need to sign a single forward unless we trade one we already have first. - NorthNuck
Canucks should not be signing no long term contract |

I really want them to sign Evander Kane, big, powerful LW who's young and fast. I'd rather have JVR or Grabner over Vanek. JVR will want term though. - LeftCoaster
Grabner would fit here IMO. |

Ah so true, never considered that dilemma, that could drive anyone to drink. |

Perron is a good setup guy with decent wheels but again I wouldn't offer term to anyone unless they're 28 or under. |

I think he's a good player, but he's shown in Buffalo and San Jose that he isnt ideal for a rebuilding team and a good fit for a contender; IMO he just fits better as a strong complimentary/background guy, where everything isnt on his shoulders |

Yes they do need a top six left winger, a real one, not Baertschi. |

I think it would be nice to find a LW for Bo and Sutter but if a prospect grabs the job even better |

But we don't want an older player because they will either become an anchor or not be on the team when we are ready to be competitive. I don't know that there is much of an issue leaving Baertschi with Bo and Brock for another year and letting LE or Granlund or even Gagner play with Sutter, considering we don't expect to make the playoffs.
The only option left if you want a young top 6 LW is to trade for them, which would undoubtedly have to include Tanev since he's our only valuable asset, meaning we won't get any draft picks for him. |

Also I think Goldy could play LW if asked, he did a little with Brock and Bo/Bo and Jake last year |

I only have eyes for E. Kane, or really, what's the point. Stick with Baertschi. At least for next season. |
