Just putting forth a comment like a lot of other, well actually everyone else on these sites. I could care less if he does or doesn’t want to sign in Buffalo, I’m not a sabres fan. I just think this extra drama makes for an interesting offseason, just interesting is all.

1. Sam and jack averaged only 49 points
2. Barzal actually ended up with 65 points.

That's quite a gap. But I didnt factor in the lack of talent on the 2015 Sabres. Or barzal playing with a high scoring team this past season.

The "haters" do think ROR has value. They want to move him now while its high because they believe you can get a return that will make the Sabres a better team going forward. It seems that most of the people who don't want to trade ROR feel that way because they don't think trading him will make the Sabres better. But, most "haters" don't want to trade ROR if it won't improve the team, and most "non-haters" are open to trading ROR for a good return.

In other words, everyone actually agrees with each other.

I think getting rid of his cap hit before the time comes to resign mittelstadt, dahlin and any other young guys would be considered making the team better by default. Trading him before he starts to suck and getting more in return also makes us better by default. I think most agree that if we can shed okposo then it would be easier to swallow having his contract on the books in a couple years
