"1976 Canada Cup
After Orr signed with Chicago, the Black Hawks gave him permission to play for Team Canada in the 1976 Canada Cup tournament. Orr did not play in the 1972 Summit Series against the Soviet Union, and he wanted badly to play for Canada. Orr had been unable to play in the Summit Series due to knee surgery, although he did participate as a non-player. Orr's participation in the Canada Cup was considered ill-conceived and Eagleson later thought it may have been the 'last straw' that killed his career. Orr himself said that he knew before the tournament that "I knew I didn't have much longer. That series didn't do it. I thought I could get the next season in, but not much after that. I knew, looking at that team, I wouldn't have to do as much. I wouldn't have traded it for anything."[83]
Despite his knee, Orr's performance in the Canada Cup led to him being named to the tournament All-Star team and he was named the overall MVP for the tournament.[84] According to teammate Bobby Clarke, Orr "would hardly be able to walk on the morning of the game. And he would hardly be able to walk in the afternoon. And then, at night, he would be the best player on one of the greatest teams ever assembled. He was the best player in every game; he was the best player in the tournament. He couldn't skate like he used to, but he could still go."[85] According to teammate Darryl Sittler, "Bobby Orr was better on one leg, than anybody else was on two" |

Did you get aggravated when they asked the underwear question - gerbe75pts
No not really.... I thought Rasmus handled the interview really well though, the kid seems really grounded... “ right now he only talks to mom about eating and training”. Lol........ hasn’t thought about living arrangements....( that was his reply to being asked if he has given any thought to where to live once he gets here). Also get the impression that he is not taking for granted he will be in the nhl for granted.... I get the impression that this kid works his tail off being a good hockey player. That’s going to serve him well going forward.

I'm on the fence with ror.
If we are competing for a playoff spot next year 85-95 points, which I am predicting.
Wouldn't you want him for the playoffs? Seams like the international tournaments showcase his up side. |

I want them to build a cup team. Not just one to sneak into the playoffs.
Sell high while he has good value and build for 2 years down the road |

you'd have to know that you could find his replacement this off season though. Normally not an immediate issue, but this team can't afford to be bad again next year. |
