So basically with the advanced technology we have these days he probably would have been the greatest of all time ( better than Gretzky) ?

Thank you for your story btw

- gerbe75pts

He was an amazing skater and puck handler . Even with the shortened career he is still the greatest defense man of all time . He might have been the greatest of all time but it is a tough call with his career being cut short . Longevity is a big factor . One of the reasons Gordie Howe is still near the top.

I want them to build a cup team. Not just one to sneak into the playoffs.

Sell high while he has good value and build for 2 years down the road

- sbroads24

Ror strikes me as a long run playoff guy.
Hopefully the love of the game is there.

If his value has hit a peak, and there is value coming back, sure trade him.

Dudley's not the GM btw it's Don Waddell

And you have Rod Brind'amour who can't even draw up a simple power play to score a goal and they make him the coach lol haha

Dudley is terrible also not what he used to be

If I was a Carolina fan I'd be pretty much crying in the corner

Oh they are

Defense will be improved.
But that Offense won’t put up more than 13 points on average.
The right side of the O-line sucked already, now they have gaping holes at center and LG.
That translates to lots of hurry’s for McCarron, holding Shady back to protect on any passing downs, and the opposing D stacking the line to shut down Shady’s running.

I stand by my 4-12 prediction a day or two ago...cause a blind squirrel finds a win or four

Really tough schedule to start as well. I don't think we are drafting top5 next year, but it will be close. I can't see this as a playoff lineup unless our defense is miraculously brilliant.

5 wins...6?

It's going to be a painful year on offense

I might watch the first game and decide if I'm just going to skip the year and start fresh next year

Meh, no fan of Carolina.
But if the fans are in an uproar, we’ll it is probably good then.

I'm kind of curious why no one's talking about Brady tkachuk staying

This basically could shake up the draft at around 4

quote=BINGO!]Don Waddell turned Ilya Kovalchuk, Pascal Dupuis, Anssi Salmela and Marian Hossa into:

Niclas Bergfors
Patrice Cormier
Johnny Oduya
Colby Armstrong
Erik Christensen
Angelo Esposito
1st Round Pick
1st Round Pick
2nd Round pick

A bunch of busts, a couple depth guys, and some draft picks that didn't work out.

Sounds like Murray's brother

So they hate Duds and B’A, but they cite poopty moves by Waddell?
Maybe Duds comes in and dumps Waddell after a bit.

Personally, I thought Z, Dahlin and Svech were the only ones rumored to be ready to jump right in (potentially).

Does 32 and Nylander get the Sabres Mike Hoffman? He would make our left side look a lot better

Edit: maybe the sharks 2nd also?

Depends on Ottawa's current modus operandi. If they are just selling off, then that's a pretty darn good offer even without SJ's pick.

Also depends what Nylander's value is around the league. A recent, former, 8OA and the first pick of the 2nd round should have decent value.

Part of it is that 32, this year, should be a decent prospect. Low 20s in other drafts even.

Every Scout basically said he was NHL ready so this is pretty shocking news to me

But this is good news for us if we can get the four or five we could possibly land him

And draft Jake wise in the 3rd

Now all of us trade believers have no idea who the trade for left D or Right lol

If he plays the same side as ristolainen then we can draw up some trade proposals

- gerbe75pts

The only person who needs to know the answer to that question is JBotts, and he doesn't need to get that information from WGR.

I wonder too. It's probably too soon for the "reclamation project" title, but...

I would make the move. It would get us a decent top-9

Didn't know the first. I was starting to look into 2nd and 3rd round targets, I'll look at Wise, don't know anything about him really.

Still some holes, but that looks better than what we had at the start of last season by a country mile.
