OJ developed into a top pairing by seasons end in a mens league at 19 years old. He's coming along... bottom pairing ceiling? Nope. He's just developing slowly. I think we have one hell of a solid two way D by the time he's 23. - boonerbuck
Personally, I see OJ as another stay at home defense man. Hamhuis or Tanev is what I see him as ultimately. You need those type of defense to win.

He has above average puck moving skills. They just need to be honed and he'll benefit from having legitimate scorers with him much in the way he did on London. I see him as someone who will compliment offense rather than push it from the back end.

Thanks for that! I haven't seen him play, only seen highlights.

I knew they would have problems once it became known that babcock coached a team into a tank just to get a better draft pick. Grab the money and lose your principles. Shameful.
Typical of an organization like MLSE to tarnish the reputation of an otherwise fine coach by bribery and then force.

People have questions and concerns about OJ. - bloatedmosquito
and they should have questions. He has had an uneven development. But you don't give up on a dman that turned 20 a few days ago that is still tracking to be a top 4. Huge mistake
If Matthews gets McJesus money then in my eyes he becomes a cap dump.
That kinda money for a guy who looked pedestrian in the playoffs is ridiculous - Nucker101
6.25 x8 for babcock I would have to say counts for ridiculous contract. Although Im not sure if coaching salaries count against the cap ....currently I think they do not. Never once seen a coach listed as a contract against the cap.

This is Vancouver we can damn well do it if we want
Denmark looking Leaf strong now with Freddy in net. Denmark the new Stanley Cup favourite. Going to get the same contribution from Matthews. - boonerbuck

He is a total bust.
It's now been 2 years and he is not on the top pairing.

Bo looks just as good as McDavid - Nucker101
If you take their contracts into consideration, Bo is by far and away a superior player. You get 1.66 Bo's for the price of one McDavid, way better value.
