To be fair, he's been excellent the past three years, so really, only four years. |

Vantel was an awesome birth partner but he barely survived the fluid loss..... |

Well Vantel experienced the pain of childbirth, even though we all know that is a myth |

Can't pick a winner till after this round but right now im leaning towards tampa - NorthNuck
I have to say that to me jets just have that something special this year. The mojo is there.
and they beat the preds who were my pick for the cup at start of season. So Im picking the jets for cup win |

He was labeled a bust early on because he went back to junior, got sent down to the AHL, yadda yadda. NOw heβs making an impact on the biggest stage. Just a caution for patience with 19 and 20 year old kid |

Funny, they kinda remind me of the Kings in 2012. During the 2011 playoffs the Kings lost to the Sharks in the first round and people were calling for Lombardi's head, the next year they won their first Cup and suddenly Lombardi was the poop.
Much the same as last year people, including me, were questioning Cheveldayoff and his building. Suddenly this year they're the "bees knees" and Chevy's the poop for being so patient and building right |

Yeah you've gotta give some kids some time to develop, some I don't believe deserve that same patience because you can see they're just not what you'd hoped they'd be....Virtanen for instance.
I was strongly for picking him, although I'd never seen him play or did any research on him, turns out I was wrong, he's got great speed and a heavy shot but he lacks in so many areas he'll never be what I thought he'd be and I still believe he's never going to be worthy of a 6th overall pick.
Horvat was the same for me, I questioned whether or not he'd be good enough to be a #2 center because of his speed. Well he worked on that to the point where he's now a very good skater and he's also a good second line center or an elite third line center playing behind a Crosby and Malkin.
But lets be honest, how many teams have a Crosby and Malkin as a 1/2 center combo these days. No one but Pittsburgh.
Long story short, he's a good second line center now. |

I tend to agree with a lot of your opinions, although I think Virtanen will continue to get better as time goes on. I think he could be a great 3rd line player on a strong team that could challenge for the cup. There are several such players around the league.
I also have concerns over Joulevi turning into a top pair dman, people have Gaudette pencilled in as a sure thing, Iβm not so sure, although as he played more games he was looking more comfortable.
This team has too many question mark players to make the Canucks, but Utica should be looking good.
