Doubting Casey again.

- Boss34

So is that your official prediction?

Bc Barzal had 80pts, and u said he’d be like him

Then i saw u say 49pts for Casey

So is 65pts officially what you’re saying?
Bc you’ve really been all over the place here

I'm kind of confused why don't you want Jack having the C ?
- gerbe75pts

I think jack rubs teammates the wrong way.
I love his fire, but I think he could be a jerk.

Wonder what jbotts thinks about his leadership qualities.

I'm 95% its him as captain

How can you say he's not way better ? Remember Jack was on a PPG and would have hit 90 if he didn't get injured

I like Mark scheifele a lot (Elite)

If Jack eichel is putting up a point-per-game with scrubs what do you think he could do with top NHL Wingers ?

- gerbe75pts

Fake news. He wasn’t on that pace after October. Maybe had a cup of coffee with it in December, but that was it. Lying Gerbe 75

I don't think he's a jerk I just think he's so used to winning he's never experienced losing like this before and he hates it.. and he doesn't like it that half the locker room is okay with it

He had more points than Connor McDavid at the time he was on that point streak so what does that tell you?

You have been consistently down on Casey. Keeping your expectations very minimal.

I thought and think Casey is going to come in and absolutely dominate. Have a barzal type impact next year. I did not realize he put up 80+ points

I mentioned that he would have a jack/sam type point rookie season. When I did the math it came to 49pts average.

That's a far cry from barzals point total.

65 seams like a number that would back up my prediction of Casey having a huge season.

Assuming he’s 3C,
his linemates for now are:
-Pommer at RW most likely
-one of the kids at LW

So...
even with PP1 time (not a sure thing right away)
I’d say he’ll be around 50pts for the season

If he’s on Jack’s wing though,
and getting lots of PP1 time...
then he could be in position to possibly top 65pts

I agree with all that. But, I really think he's could be a jerk, He is arrogant.
The feud with josh gorges and gianta seams a bit disrespectful.
Jack is still just a young guy, I see growth already.

That NOT accurate
I’ve been CAUTIOUS...
just saying that we shouldn’t expect (or be upset) if he doesn’t come in & have a “Barzal-like” season

And idk how u didn’t realize how well Barzal was doing all year? But 👌

Anyways...
The situation Casey plays in will also dictate his production to a degree
Is he 3C or LW1?
That’s gonna make a difference

Another reason I’m just being CAUTIOUS (not down) on the #s Casey will or won’t put up

If he’s 3C...
I’ll say around 50pts, give or take

And that’s not negative...
he’d be one of the top “3rd liners” in the league at that production

True but they said over the course of the year he stopped throwing his stick and everything and being more of a leader

For example he was the only one that took Casey out to meet him after he signed his contract

That point streak when Jack went nuts

Jan 24..
Auston Matthews 8G+2A = 10 points
Connor McDavid 3G+11A = 14 points
Jack Eichel 12G+13A = 25 points

I think sam took him out also.
1 took him to lunch
1 took him to dinner

I think I heard

That might have been on purpose though too. Like when they put him in the middle of the stretching circle at the last practice before the season started. It's relatively obvious he will be captain, they're just grooming him before they put it on his shoulders.

I honestly think botts was expecting to draft a winger when casey got his tryout as center

getting dahlin changes things IMO and either casey or ror is on the wing

after saying that, if the canes offer pick 2 overall and Noah Hanifin

how quick do you say no?

Certainly possible
He has said a bunch of times how he likes our center depth a lot with Jack, ROR & Casey though

E Rod was respectable at 3C this year
So maybe?

Still pretty quick
I get where you’re coming from...
but u don’t trade a guy like Dahlin

Also... why does Carolina do that?
They need a scoring forward & are in good shape on defense
They couldn’t be happier where they’re sitting

Today I learned:

ROR makes his wingers better.

When they are Scott Wilson.

Scott. Wilson.

That is all.
