I bet Tallon would love to get Seabrook on the Panthers. The Hawks could probably get Huberdeau. - Dannyboy
I doubt it |

What would be a fair deal for 3OA in your opinion? |

The 3rd + 2 seconds + Mccarron for Cody Glass + Shea Theodore would be awesome |

Not trading for Bjugstad. Big man who plays small with limited upside offensively. Two second rounders would be a large overpayment, just as Tatar was for Vegas. Huberdeau or Barkov for two seconds and Max. |

You're not getting Barkov or Huberdeau without moving the 3rd overall pick
Pacioretty and 2 second rounders for Borgstrom and Matheson
Or move those 2 second rounders to Calgary, who dont have any picks in the first 3 rounds and get Sam Bennett, see if they can get him going, might be worth the gamble, more so than Bjugstad that's for sure |

Probably not but...
Habs could add a piece or 2
I kind of like the idea of giving Bennett a fresh start though! |

I think two 2nd round picks would be sufficient to land Bjugstad.
Same price as what they got for Eller.
LOL What? Eller was a 3rd line play Bjugstad is not. Bjugstad was 1 point shy of the 50 point mark and 1 goal shy of 20 at 25 years old. Eller has never hit 40 points and is 4 years older. Eller is in his prime whereas Bjugstad hasnt hit his yet.
What is being asked is not asking too much. The guy can be a #1 Center in the NHL. He is a 100% at least a 2nd line Center at this point in his career. |

This must be sarcasm. But if not, you do realize that Huberdeau is one of "Tallon's guys" too? |

Imo, this trade offer is a bit unreasonable.
Bjugstad is an excellent 3rd line C. Trading 2 2nd (and two high 2nds), a 3rd and a prospect (albeit not a very good one) for Bjugstad is a massive overpayment from Montreal’s part, especially since he’s had 1 good year (this year), has a big cap hit (for a bottom-6 C), and he’s injury prone (he’s missed 53 games since the start of 2014/15). Your pieces on the trade scenarios with other teams were fairer imo - Gray75
Agreed. Primarily because Bjugstad is not needed. Habs need a center, but they have Danualt on the 3rd line already and have guys like JDLR, Evans likely slotted into the 4th line role. Habs need to acquire two top-2 centers and not another 3rd liner.
Therefore I see the trade as unrealistic only because it does not fill a void but rather then automatically slides one of Bjugstad or Danault into the #2 role. |
