Ok great comparison.
I'll remember next time you, print and social media start questioning something to next season bet against it. - manvanfan

The more I read about Jett Woo the more I like that kid in the second or third round. - LeftCoaster
If he makes it to the second round and to Van at 37 and they pass up on him. I'd be pretty disappointed. Personally, He's a late 1st round pick.
Supposedly Toronto scouts went to see him a lot this season. Co-worker has season tickets, sits near the "scouts" area. Talks to them, pretty believable guy (not one to fabricate a lot of BS) but take it with a grain of salt.

Xavier Bernard round 3. - Reubenkincade
WPG model. They haven't drafted D in the first 3 rounds in the same year.
In the years they did draft a D with their first pick, didn't pick another D for a couple of rounds.
I wouldn't pass up on BPA in any round though. |

Bernard might be a bit of a stretch, although, he is a good defenseman.
If McShane is still on the board, I would take him. There is a Swiss kid, whose name escapes me, (Kurashev?)that could be a nice pick at that spot as well. |

Thanks Carol!
Looking back on the 3-way trade does everyone still think Nashville made out better than Ottawa? Turris was invisible during the playoffs! |

In fairness, other than the 1st line, Subban and Watson, no one else showed up on the Predators either... |

I don't know any Jet's fans that wanted Chevy fired last year.
It's always been the plan for the entire organization. Draft and Develop. They were prepared to get high draft picks, lose games and allow the younger players to learn. Chevy has been a 100% BPA in the draft. That's why Maurice got the extension because he had been teaching so much throughout the first years. - manvanfan
I do, and i’m way out on the coast. Very critical of both the coach and GM. Hendricks is a particular sore point |

There are 2 Q D that I keep getting mixed up. Xavier Bernard and Xavier Bouchard. One plays for Drummondville. That's the one I like.
McShane bothers me when I see him play. His stats are good everywhere. I just don't like his game. Watched Oshawa on TV 3 times this year. His game reminded me of Burmistrovs. |

I am pulling for Vegas and the reason is because of all the wheeling and dealing they had to do in one year is incredible. They did not have one player on the team at this time last year - VANTEL
Go Jets baby.
I can't bring myself to cheer for yet another Bettman project in Vegas. It's admirable that the players are playing with passion and have bought in fully to what Gallant has been selling them...but technically the league should be retracting not expanding. The league coddles teams like ARZ, FLA, NYI, NJ and CAR but yet still we are expanding

No, my friends live in Portage la Prarie. But their daily anti-Chevy/ PoMo FB posts tells me that there are true blue Jets fans who don’t think the management and coaching staff should have been given an extension. I was merely pointing out that there are indeed Jets fans who don’t approve, even though you have never heard of them. |

One last thing before going back to bed . Canucks this year have a chance to look real different. I don't think Benning has the stones but lets see.
If Stecher is in your top pair D and Sven is your second line forward then you can pretty well expect the same as the last couple of years.
Would the team be much worse off if they let Stecher Pouliot or Granlund walk? Not sure
Cancks have about 25 mil in cap space next year so do you want to re-up Pouliot or maybe look for an upgrade somewhere.
Do not pay guys like Hutton and Eriksson to float and set bad examples . Jim has a blank canvas right now lets see what he does - VANTEL
Yes - they would be worse off. Why would they let Stecher walk? He has trade value for sure. Asset managment |

Isn’t RyJo their #1 C? It’s the secondary scoring that’s more important... |

Hi Carol, great read! It's 2:15pm here in Muscat but we don't work Friday afternoons (holy day) so I needed something to read.
I mentioned in the last thread I wasn't sure Horvat could become what he's become, because of his skating, when he first arrived. Obviously he's improved that so much he's now what I'd consider a very good center in the league.
I don't think he's as good as Scheifele now, or he ever will be, but he's proven me wrong once already so here's to hoping he does it again. - LeftCoaster
i see you edited your post from earlier. Glad to see you can admit you were wrong about Bo |
