at 9:23, The BobFather had OJ as the #1 ranked Dman. JB wasn't the only one who liked him. His rankings are a combo of NHL GMs and Scouts I believe.

I am not as concerned about Juolevi as some are. I believe he will be a very reliable top pairing guy, at worst a #3.
He isn't a flashy player, that many on here crave, but I prefer the consistent steady eddy types, with sound defensive fundamentals and hopefully at least 1 defenseman to provide offense to go along with above mentioned skills.

I was just checking CapFriendly and looking at NYI

I was thinking Tanev 7th OA for Brock Nelson 11 th and their their two seconds . Two centers Joe Veleno and Barrett Hayton are sitting there at 11 and Brock Nelson answers top line LW

Also this summer send Gudbrandson home for Bjugstadt

Brock Bo Brock

hello no
for one, NYI fans want to trade Brock for Hutton that's how little they value him. I would much rather do something around Tanev for 11oa and leave their 2nds out of it. The player we get at 7oa is fine by me. Also I would take that Finn over those two right now. Kid looks like a winner.

So I noticed my idea of:

1. Trading Tanev for a 20 to 31 place first round pick.
2. Trading #7, Tanev's pick, Virtanen and Eriksson (Salary dump) to Buffalo for 1st overall.

the idea was not well recieved. Why? We get the best player in the trade, lose the worst player on the team so it's really #7 plus Tanev and Virt.

God bless ya Virt but your transition into Bertuzzi 2.0 is now questionable. You're more like David Booth 2.0 or Jim Sandlak for you oldtimers.

- Beatle_john

#1 is good, #1 is not nearly enough value for a tam to potentially get a generational defenseman. As what would it take to get McDavid back in 2015 and offer that value.

If Benning throws 12 million X 7 at Tavares and he bites is the only way you're convincing OEL or Karlsson to listen to you.

Well if its big UFA’s to fill big gaps as in JT its worth a shot. Nothing is lost.

I was going to say Datsyuk, but Lidstrom was the captain in Detroit and Datsyuk had the A.

I would guess no, not many Russian captains in NHL history. Language barrier usually.

I like OV, I think he deserves to have his name on the cup. Will help take away that one-dimensional reputation he has — dude is one of the top players of the last generation.

I like him too, I hope he wins a Stanley Cup. Over the past ten years he's probably been one of the top three players in the NHL on a consistent basis. His trophy case will attest to that. Yeah he wasn't really defensively conscious but so what, his game is offence.

Our 2018 1st round pick will fall and tear his ACL as he walks up the stairs to the draft stage

JJ Daigneault went to podium on crutches back in 1984, this team has poop luck.

I didnt think I was being theatrical, just pointing out the luck we have in regards to injuries, which seems to be a bit of a Canuck omen lately.
