I think Phoenix will take Tkachuk, they need him as a marketing chip.
He will wear #7 and maybe Lefty & Don will have flashbacks when they go to Coyotes games.😁 - Reubenkincade
they are loaded at left wing and have not much on defense. They have OEL, chychrun and some nice leftys prospects on defense. they need right but we will see. I think tkachuk is overrated just like the last one. He will put up 2nd line numbers his career nothing more. |

I agree Ketchup is overrated, just think Phoenix need something to market and what better than a former players son. |

last year was makar. As much as Im happy with pettersson I wonder who would have been better for us him or makar. Makar has a special skill set not seen that often, same with pettersson.
I think JB was targeting makar till he was selected. Based on footage from the draft and trying to make the deal for trade spots. Once Makar was selected the deal was off.
BUt hey many scouts later said pettersson could have gone #1, so he did good |

JVR
- VANTEL
I only want a free agent if he's 28 or younger, JVR can (frank) off along with any other old balls players looking for a long term retirement deal. |

I want trades. Get rid of some excess and fill needs. |

We don't have any trade chips that'll make a huge impact on the team IMO, lateral moves at best if you're moving kids like Baertschi and Grandlund, Tanev might bring a bigger return but not earth shattering I'm thinking.
Stick with the process, keep drafting and developing.

Canucks desperately need a top six center this year, I still think Spezza is a good option if they could get an additional 2nd rounder with him. |

Could possibly trade for one with Tanev? Probably wouldn't get a legit one top 6 Center. Maybe one that's down the depth chart.
J.T. Compher and Pavel Zacha two names to ponder. I don't know much about their games. Both seem like they might have top 6 upside but stats wise under preformed a bit.
Yes both teams would have to add a pick or prospect. |

Ryan O'Reilly? Overpaid 60 point center, Buffalo needs "D" and they have Mittelstadt coming up. |

I don't think he is overpaid. Maybe by like 300k. Tanev certainly isn't worth a 60 point forward. Maybe a consistent 50 point Center that isn't one of the top defensive forwards in the game.
Sam Reinhart. Bjugstad as Vantel has mentioned. |

Edit: these two aren't consistent 50 point players but are close.
Two I mentioned before are 25 puts players but young. |

Watched a few US games now Hughes is decent
I would love to somehow get Jesperi Kotkaniemi to play with Dahlen and EP |

Hanks replacement for the next 5 years . Removes the urgency and Tanevs salary covers part of the cost. Also it gives you another trade chip with Sutter when EP is ready to move to C |

Goal or no goal from yesterday? - manvanfan
Tough one. initially I thought it probably should not have counted as Fleury's stick was contacted slightly before the puck crossed the line...but if you look carefully Carpenter did intentionally push the WPG player into Fleury which I'm sure was a factor in the final decision. They pretty much had to go with good goal after that point.
The D men are also told I believe to push players into the goalies to help their causes...but it also makes it much more confusing for all involved including the refs and the people in the war rooms. |
