I need to focus more on how the forwards play defensively because I did not notice Eichel or Baptiste being terrible defensively.

Well that could actually be good news
-shows Vegas he has absolutely zero desire to sign there
-which means we could likely acquire his rights pretty damn cheap
-so even if we can’t convince him to come over at some point, would be a loss of anything major (maybe a mid-round pick)

But there might be some things we can do to give us a better shot

The KHL is a market that we should definitely be exploring
And building an infrastructure that gives us an advantage to bring some of these guys over should at least be considered,
if not be made a priority
