Oddly enough in my semi changed mock draft on draft site. I had Anderson-Dolan going to LA at 41
In 2016 I had Colorado picking Samuel Girard with their 40th pick. Nashville picked him 7 spots later. Two years later he now plays for Colorado. |

Yep, Wahlstrom at 7 would be a steal IMO, I think he is the 4th best player in the draft. There will be some really good dman still available at 37 as well.
Tychonick, Addison, Beaudin, Sandin, Alexeyev, Lundkvist are all guys who might be available. - belcherbd
Merkley has been dropping as well. Kid would be an amazing pick at 37 if he lasts |

Yeah, i seem to recall you being in favor of him in Lind's spot also. If there's one thing I hope it's that JB see's the direction the NHL is headed and put's skill/speed at the top of his traits |

The boqvist comment. Also, I cant find draft bets on Bodog but it is a thing. I’ll let you know when the draft bets are available |

Merkley at 37 would be well worth the risk. His offensive ability is amazing. Only worry is that he’s another Ryan Murphy, Marc Andre Bergeron, Anthony DeAngelo type because his defense is atrocious some games. |

cool, cheers. Maybe you'll change your tune on Boquist if JB drafts him
I do think MTL/OTT pick him though, they need d prospects almost as bad as us. |

I got roughly 2:1....I felt 100% certain Nico was going first. I should have had Sutter size balls and bet $20k lol - CanuckDon
Sportsnet keeps showing that the odds of Vegas winning the cup were 500:1 in the summer and 200:1 at the start of the season. If they happen to win I suspect there will be a few people retiring early |

Speaking of guys like Murphy, Bergeron and DeAngelo, it amazes that teams don’t even try to play them as wingers for a year. Worst case scenario they suck there too and you cut your losses. Most experiments will probably fail, but you could eventually find a diamond in the rough.
NFL teams convert college QB’s to WR’s.
MLB teams convert hitters to pitchers or vice versa.
Ideally you experiment like this in the AHL, but that requires waiver exemption or clearing waivers. But bottom feeding NHL teams don’t have much to lose anyway. |

I thought Vegas was going to be terrible and wouldn’t have placed a bet at 200:1 lol (frank) they made a lot of people look stupid |

It's obviously too early to tell but I think Winnipeg could be the team to finally expose their weaknesses |

American media will be over the SCF if they get there. Winnipeg might be playing 5 vs 7

You can always improve a prospects skating ability, just look at Horvat. Offensive instinct is much harder and sometimes impossible to teach, see Tanev, Gudbranson, etc.
If we're picking a Dman it should be one with more offensive ability, they will have time to improve their skating. Bouchard>Dobson - NorthNuck
