Not really, no. But I find the concept more interesting than Bodqvist vs. Dobson again. - YeOldTimer
I would agree with this. That's why I tried to bring up Goldy/Boucher earlier |

What do you think we should do with Tryamkin, trade his rights or let him rot? |

We could play the role of Vegas as a middleman, sign and trade him to say Tampa or Nashville with cap retention for draft picks. |

I had none during the pregnancy, sat in thehot tub last night with a Cuban and my vaporizer and watched the stars overhead. Good times. |

If you still think boyhood dreams have anything at all to do with where UFA's sign, you might be actually be a Leafs fan. Have you been tested? |

Let him sit. If he decides to come back to the NHL it will likely come with a fair amount of hype if he progresses at his current rate. If in 2 years we are getting good again and he wants to play with us then great, but I don't think his value will go down in that time. Right now I don't think we'd get very much, if anything for his rights. |

I wouldn't mind signing De Haan and ditching MDZ or trading MDZ or Gudbranson as part of a package for Severson as long as there's no 1st or 2nd round picks involved.
I find it hard to believe NJ would get rid of Severson right now though. |

Can't we do both? let him rot and then trade him, oh, and trade him to a team in a state that has legalized weed. |

Noice. I pick up my new hot tub in a few weeks. I want to paint the deck before I put it in though. |

Boucher's game just doesn't seem to translate to the next level. He's had a few narrow windows to show his stuff and hasn't made enough of an impact to justify a longer audition. I get the feeling he won't be re-signed or will be lost on waivers when sent down after training camp.
However he has had some success with Goldobin. It would be interesting to see if their synergy might make them more productive and perhaps increase the market value of both before losing or trading one of them.

That's what my earlier post was about. If they can feed off of each other they might thrive in sheltered minutes with Gaudette |

I'd be cautious about being that obvious. Bettman seems to get really upset by cap circumvention tactics when the Canucks use it to their benefit. Can't afford any more penalties on top of the recapture when Luongo retires after next season. |

That is the best scenarii, as it is only 2.8 million per with florida having to pick up 1.2 or so for the remainder of his deal. |

The point was more that if the Canucks did what Vegas did for the Penguins on the Brassard deal they are likely going to be penalized severely by the league. |
