Yeah I read that the remaining band members who helped with the writing didn't see eye to eye with him on what should and shouldn't be included in the movie so they fired him.

It is so good I can't even express. 3 seasons in and they say there will only be 2 more because the story has already been planned out. Its such an intelligent show, puts you right in the shoes of the protagonist and makes you question whats real and whats not
