Why do 5v5 stats count more in the NHL than the NCAA?

Because the NHL is comprised of the most elite players in the world, playing in massively refined systems, at a higher speed, more physical and you know, actual MEN play the game.

He was basically playing with a bunch of boys that had the skill set of an over-30 men's pickup league in the NCAA, in the Big-10, facing some of the hardest competition in NCAA sports.

The fact he then came onto the WORST team in the NHL and put up 4 points in 5 games tells a lot. He at least (debatable) had NHL-Level talent to play along side. Against NHl goaltenders no less.

Is this from your sources ? Becuase I know Botts loves his depth down the middle and Eichel, ROR, MIttelstadt (if he lives up to the hype) could be the deepest in the East (hides)

It was 5 points in 6 games. But the most impressive thing about that is that in 5 of the 6 games he recorded a point. Its not like he had two multipoint games and was invisible for the other 4 and ended up with 5 points. He made an impact every night, coming off a month of basically sitting on the couch on the last place team in the league.

Bc when u take ONE or even just a FEW analytics stats,
it doesn’t tell the WHOLE story
