Back to signing Jt and trading ROR to the Islanders for bellows - gerbe75pts
Ror for the 2 (1sts).
We add baps, bailey, fashing type prospect
As soon as JT leaves, they will be desperate, but doubt they move bellows. |

Is the fax machine working?
Doubt they do it. I think Lehner gets released tbh. Wouldn't surprise me. |

I'll bet you a thousand internet points he isn't. They can't throw away a career .915 goalie |

Garth Snow may be a dingdong, but he will poop in a bag and leave it on Bott's porch and light it on fire if JB comes at him with that. |

Didn't they get a 2nd for Jamie McGinn when they traded him that season? Or what it a 3rd? |

Time to cut the losses and move on from Baptiste, Bailey and Fashing. All 3 had many chances and did nothing. |

I am confused by these chances you speak of?
The 1 or 2 game stint in the top 6 where both Baptiste and Bailey looked decent?
Or is it the 20 games playing with Larsson and Wilson?
Fasching yeah he can go but Baptiste and Bailey I am not ready to write off yet. |

What? The chances of bottom 6 minutes on the worst team in the league the last two years? |

Conservative, but there is talent there. I don’t believe an 18 year old defenseman is going to dramatically change the output from this roster.
Botts did this last year and look where we ended up. I think it’s time to make that locker room uncomfortable - washedup20
The opening night roster should look much different than last year
RODRIGUES-Eichel-OKPOSO(*healthy)
WILSON-O’Reilly-Reinhart
BAILEY-MITTELSTADT-Pominville
Girgensons-Larsson-BAPTISTE
DAHLIN-Ristolainen
Scandella-McCabe/Bogosian
GUHLE-NELSON
Beaulieu
ULLMARK
(ANOTHER GOALIE)
That’s 10/22 new guys on the opening night roster from last year
11 if u count a healthy & ready to go Okposo
Plus possibly a LW that Botts will at least try to bring in somehow
And maybe 2 more young guys (O’Regan, Smith, etc) who could take spots if Larson &/or Girgensons are shipped out
That’s MASSIVELY different from what we iced at the start of last season |

Some dumb a$s GM will give something for Lehner, His size alone will prompt a GM to take a chance on him, however the price will be very low 5 rounder if that...
I don't care what they do with him, he is horrible. |

We need to choose 1 of these guys to be on the opening night roster. The other is a healthy scratch, and larsson is in sweden or Cincinnati |

JB himself didn't even bother endorsing Lehner at his year end presser. He says Ullmark will be one. We don't know (or think) that he will be a pure #1 (yet). So you've got to think he'll be 1a or 1b. So you need to pay a guy to be a 1a. Are we going to pay Lehner a minimum 4,400,00 (10% raise on QO, not sure if correct) for a guy JB clearly is not very interested in? I have my strong doubts. So what do we do. We try as hard as we can to trade his rights, or take him to an arbitrator if JB doesn't think he'll make anything close to 4.4. And that all depends on whether JB actually wants him on the Sabres.
There's no doubt in my mind that Lehner is no more than a 1a at this point of his career. So our options are trade him, release him, take him to arb if you feel like keeping him, or just accept a QO of 4.4M granted he signs it. I would hope we trade him. |

maybe pick 11?

I agree with all that, I just don't think they'd let him walk for nothing. I definitely think they're trying to move him |
