Does small mindedness also apply to thinking the only reason for the bad season was the stealth tank?
I would say that the results we saw this season was a direct result of a first year GM and a first year coach seeing exactly what they have in house before they start shipping off players.

Botts clearly stated that Rochester being competitive was important, so keeping the kids in the minors makes a lot of sense.
I would be curious what we could have done to drastically improve the team in your view.
This team tried and failed miserably, similar I think to Ottawa's season.

There's no way they tanked - stealthily or not. They were just bad. And i think you make a good point. Both Botts and Housely were new to their positions and the organization. They probably wanted to see what they have before they made any large scale changes. In the business world, if you were brought in as a new CEO, you wouldn't blow up a failing organization within the first 90 days. You would analyze and evaluate first before making the big decisions and making changes. I think Botts/Housely will put their stamp on this team this summer/fall.

How are you so sure about his ceiling, but Nylander has a near-infinite ceiling? How would Nylander have done with Larsson and Nolan this year?
