True story, I had a toenail off my big toe
worst pain I ever felt and it took me a year to be able to walk normal again. - BeadyEyedDouche
I rip the nail off my little toe like once a year, it gets ingrown if I don't. It's really not that bad. |

True, but I have no idea what games those were.
But how much of that is him and how much is it the guys around him? - Wetbandit1
These are individual entries, exits. Im not sure how others really apply here. You could argue that his forwards couldn't take a pass or backcheck, but there are d-men in similar situations who suffer from that and are still able to move the puck. |

His comments about those things are cryptic.
He brought that system question up with Howard Simon maybe two weeks ago when he was reiterating the story about how Reinhart stopped playing they way they wanted him to, and he finally decided to play his game and then he started playing well. But he also said that Reinhart can fit his game into Housley's system. He said it kind of gleefully.
I don't know what any of it means. Some can apparently play their own game within the system, and some cannot? - jcragcrumple
to me it meant a double standard...but what it comes down to is that both players apparently felt housley's system was stifling them |

Why do so many people consider Risto an offensive defenseman? I mean, sure, he plays on the PP, but he rarely jumps up in the play or any of the other things you see from true offensive d. The label doesn't seem right to me. - Lunaion
40 plus points a season the past 3 years on the worst offensive team in the league.
Hes in on 20% off the Sabres goals -

I guess I was looking at it sort of wrong initially.
What's the difference between "%" and "60"? I would think that's the same thing. As a "%" of his team? |

I get the ror trade discussions, but risto would be off limits:
Eichel
Mitts
Risto
#1 pick

it's not so much being a juggernaut, it's about finding he open spot to receive a pass and having soft enough hands to collect the it...they had trouble with that all season |

I'm old school.
Score more then the other team. Anyway you can.
I get the 5 x5 arguement. I just don't use it as a base measurement on players |

because you can't really call him a defensive guy. His shot attempt numbers and expected goals for fall in line with most offensive defensemen. - Sabresfan-365
Does that really hold up even strength per 60? I'd find that surprising. As far as play style, I just consider him balanced, neither offensive or defensive.
