When you have multiple people pulling in different directions you end up with a mess in the locker room (call it culture if you will)

You can have multiple leaders (Briere and Drury are perfect examples) but they have to be on the same page.

A good culture doesn't mean you're winning games, but it usually comes with winning.

I am not arguing the merits of trading for him. The stipulations under a trade would have to heavily favor the Sabres. But there's no denying he's still a good player.

I don't know much about his injury, but I believe it was his foot, not knee, that needed recovery time.
