for what it's worth
I think dahlin gets us closer to the playoffs then any trade we make
IMO a focused ror, okposo, risto and bogo can do more that any trade to shrink the gap between us and say columbus or the bruins - homiedclown
Just because we got the Ultimate prize should not change your plans that we had set in motion

You said He better develop to be an All Star in his own end, which he won't.
That means you clearly have never seen him play and just stat looking - gerbe75pts
That is 100% what he is doing. |

Which is why I think moving ROR for said winger is something that needs to be done this offseason - Stripes77
Why not move ror to the wing?

Why not move ror to the wing? - Boss34
Seems like the only time he doesn't mind playing the wing is for team Canada
Also $7.5 million for a 60 point winger seems pricey to me |

scout's my dog's name and I bet plenty of teams would call about Klefbom - Sabresfan-365
But they'd rather trade up for Risto and offer a bunch more and still have a tough time getting him, what does that tell ya?
Many young D playing 25-28 mins a night with sieves on their side are going to make errors, he was worked like your dog scout. Let him play 21-22 mins a night with some talent and he will be fine.
But, you keep lobbying for that all world 21 pt, 41 hit, #4 Dman. It will keep the offseason amusing anyway. |

Maybe jbotts and phil ask him about wing. He says no, he goes.
Still dealing with the buffatax. Any fa winger needs to get paid extra to join the Sabres.
Ror and his overpayment is always going to be there. Probably have to eat part of his contract if we trade him |

regarding our need for left wingers
bailey

nylander

ror

all can play left wing
not sure on oglevie
the key is if they really want to play a north/south upbeat game
you have to have ror, reinhart and okposo all on 3 different lines, and if this is the case pommer on the 4th line
you need 2 skaters with wheels on each line
with the d, it's fine to have scandella, but you have to let risto play to his strength
if bogo is healthy (cringes) and is playing with dahlin, dahlin needs to be set free to play an upbeat game
with mccabe, nelson, pilut, guhle, beaulieu, whoever is on that pair, one has to fly with the puck not stay at home and play scared
I have no clue if the players are refusing to play this game, the coach/gm held them back to tank, or it was all a lie at the presser but reality is they showed no signs of this upbeat game last year and they better show changes this season |

I've seen him play, as have Oiler fans and that's why they want to ditch him for Risto and a 1st |

I think it will be the influx of youth. Mittelstadt is going to help. Dahlin is going to help. Guhle will help. Olofsson, Malone, Asplund and Nylander could help in the next season or two. Totally agree that some trade isn't going to outweigh the impact of all the addition by subtraction we are doing. Dahlin may only be good, but he will be great in comparison to Beaulieau...that type of thing. |

and what is that?
the only plan I saw set in motion was to put everything on hold for the 17-18 season and tell the season ticket holders, we tried but scott wilson was not the savior we needed |

Because he does not want to play win and that is part of the reason he was moved from Colorado. |

Moving him to wing is worse than trading him. You just set the single season record for faceoff wins! Yeah, I think we're going to move you to the wing. We do have a genius GM now though so ya never know. |

this will make everyone think
ror lost the second most number of face offs in 2017-18 season, 850
crosby led the nhl losing 909 face offs
