Nothing bad , nothing great . I would prefer drafting a forward . I am not sure any of the D are game changers (Dahlin not included) . I would rather get an impact forward with the first then concentrate on D - VANTEL
I’ve come around to that also. As bad as I want D a F at 6 looks to be better especially so if 1-2 drop as i’m guessing happens. |

Problem is D need to be drafted, good D at that. BPA at that spot.
Probably why I would trade down. Wouldn't feel so bad about picking up a D and a F if you can get another 1st.
Even if it's 14 and 19, I wouldn't have a problem drafting a Forward at 14 and a D at 19. - manvanfan
True but if Wahly is there i take him. A very good F will be there at 6oa. Make a play for D thru free agency when we are on the rise could be a course of action. |

The forwards are better players IMO |

I think after the top 2 it could go many ways depending on teams needs.

Again i agree lol
Habs go either F or D...coin toss but need a C
Ottawa my guess is Boqvist also need a C
Arizona needs D but could go BPA
Thin draft for centers makes it tough predicting other than teams BPA.
See how Boqvist & Hughes do in their medal games could be enlightening. |

With the potential for 3 D gone Dahlin Boqvist & Hughes adding Svechnikov to make that 4 picks. Leaves 1 more F gone before our pick if the top 5 go D heavy.
Ideally that leaves us very good F’s to choose from. If less D picked its still possible for a very good F to slide to us. Whichever way the draft goes we will get something to get excited about.
I’ll go so far as to say JB’s phone at the draft table will be buzzing. Hopefully he gets many offers leading up to the draft. He keeps them guessing til our pick is up to out wait them to see if they over pay. |

how the hell is Holtby still in? Grauber should have been in for tonight's game.
Is Ovie playing? - manvanfan
The same reason Luongo stayed in for so long. |

That's cool. It would just be nice if the team showed a little tradition. You don't see the Habs or Philly or many other clubs in the league pissing around with their logos. Many are just simplistic designs that work. The Philly logo for example is very simplistic and almost boring but it works...why change it. - LordHumungous

I remember when Donna was telling me the Golden Knights were gonna be worse than the Canucks, now I didn't envision a Cup final but I told him he was out to lunch....good times! |

You think they will beat TB?
Caps chock is on. They need a huge shake up. Burakovskey or however you spell it. A 3 million dollar healthy scratch in the playoffs. |

It's choke....and I think he just came back from injury, could be the reason? Regardless, there's four teams left, they're all good teams, winning the Cup is hard.
I don't know if they beat Tampa, I didn't think they'd make it this far. Tampa is good and deep though! |

I do remember. I didn’t think any team without an elite 3C like Bo could win a cup. I’m so impressed |

I thought Winnipeg would get past Vegas, having presumed better depth and size and would be able to keep pace with LV. However, if Vegas makes it to the finals, I'm gonna put down and say they win it.
Fleury is playing lights out, and their speed and tenacity is just too much for teams – and their D zone play is underrated. Tampa has had trouble with the Caps' forecheck, and Vegas is just as hard on pucks.
I want OV to win it, so would love to see them come back against the Lightning, but it's not looking good right now. |

Just goes to prove you need two good centres and your third line guy, Cody Eakins, just has to contribute. Karlsson surprised a lot of people but Marchessault has been good for a few years now.
Horvat would be their elite third line center |

I was really pullin for OV to make a final but doesn't look like it now. Too bad! He's one of the best scorers ever. |

Large D and quicker forwards on both sides. Take note JB.
Boqvist and Hughes are out.

I've never been a fan of small players unless they had tremendous speed, I remember yelling NOOOOOOOOOOOO when they picked Schroeder and Shinkaruk
Just gotta stick with the program and keep drafting and developing. Wahlstrom or Dobson for me. |

We have one in Horvat, who's turned into a good NHL center. Pettersson hopefully. Need to keep building through the middle and stop picking wingers. Top six I'm talking. |

I remember OV early on in his career but not say 1st 3-4....had lead in every way. If he didn't score, he light it up with assists. Every day he made the news in some way with his play. Eventually 1 day he was held off the scoresheet, but lead the entire NHL in hits that day, making the news again. Incredible, he always found a way to be a superstar |

I'm a fan of players that can play. I don't care how they do it, just that they get results.
I remember everyone "passing" over Schroeder and when he "fell" to Van, thinking well this guy is going to suck.
2013, I wanted Hartman over Shinkaruk but the biggest mistake was not taking Theodore. Hadn't drafted a D in the first 2 rounds since Yann Sauve in like 2008.
OJ is the only D since Sauve that Van has taken in the first 2 rounds. No wonder the D sucks so bad. |

Van is still in the potential stage. This year Van needs 3 D (2 RHD, 1 LHD), 2 C, and 1 W until they get some more picks. |
